Price Has Increased $100 in 2 Years

I go through one of these every 2 years. There's no way around it. We are "daily testers" of our water, and our pool is always perfectly balanced, so it's not "extreme chemical use" that's destroying these things. It's just cheap plastic--even the 16 mil version. The face of the "bubbles" wear off, leaving tiny circles of plastic floating in the pool and the filter. No matter what we do, this thing wears out every 2 years like clock work. Worse part of it all? The last time I bought this, it…

Pros
  • Can help to preserve the lifespan of your pool’s liner
Cons
  • The cover may require additional straps or clips to stay in place

Deteriorated after one summer

Bought it summer of 2022, trash it in November. Plastic sheets start deteriorating and pieces all over the pool. If you don’t mind spend just for one summer it’s okay. Otherwise it’s not worth it. I didn’t even ask the seller for warranty because the prior reviews mentioned they don’t really stand behind of their products.

Pros
  • Helps to reduce your carbon footprint
Cons
  • The cover may not be effective at retaining heat in windy conditions

light weight good for me

This product is a much lighter gauge plastic than the pool cover it is replacing. I am concerned about its durability. Unfortunately the higher gauge material was only available in gray and I preferred blue. Time will tell if my concerns are warranted.

Pros
  • Can raise the temperature of your pool by up to 10 degrees
Cons
  • The cover may be difficult to clean due to its size

Warranty is useless

Was hoping not to experience similar issues as others; however, after first year bubble side started disintegrating and got progressively worse through second season. I rolled it up during the day, rinsed regularly, and covered when not in use per manufacturer. Purchased the 1600 series clear for the the thicker material and longer warranty but was told directly from manufacturer that covers are only expected to last 3 to 4 years. Was also told warranty is limited to only welded seams and…

Pros
  • Helps to reduce the amount of time spent cleaning your pool
Cons
  • The cover may damage the pool edge

Good customer service from seller

We've used this product several times. None of the pool covers last more than a couple of years. The cheap ones even less. This one has proven to be the best product for the price. This seller has been great! FedEx misdelivered the cover to who knows where. I contacted the seller, and after confirming that it was misdelivered, they sent a replacement within a week. I will use these folks again.

Pros
  • Perfect for both in-ground and above-ground pools
Cons
  • The cover may be prone to developing mold or mildew

Save your Money, Don't by from this company

The pool cover itself seemed to do the job at first, but doesn't last more than a year and a half if your as lucky as i was. The third party seller of this product on the other hand, I would never buy from again. This is a solar product that states it has a 10year warranty ( which is actually only 3 years) and even that’s a lie because the warranty only covers. ummm nothing. They told me the warranty would cover seam separation. The small tear in the pictures I guess I get they wouldn't cover…

Pros
  • Prevents heat from escaping on windy days
Cons
  • The cover may be difficult to cut to fit irregularly shaped pools

Worked great - my new review

We cut it to fit, rounding the corners. We also used a old long wooden curtain rod I had lying around to roll it up and back w/. That actually worked great. It seems to have held up good over this, the first summer of use.

Pros
  • Provides a great return on investment
Cons
  • The cover may become discolored or faded over time due to sun exposure

IT SEEMS TO WORK WELL!

To cover my 15' x 30' in ground pool. I installed the grommets and one of them when i pulled with a rope came loose and ripped about two inches of the plastic cover. Otherwise, it seems to be working fine. After three days of sunshine, the water temperature is very pleasant. I have not cut it to water size yet. I would appreciate it very much, if I could get another package of grummets and a repair kit to patch the rupture. I am willing to pay for them.J.L. Blanco, 731 S. Mashta Dr., Key…

Pros
  • Made with high-quality, durable materials
Cons
  • The cover may not be effective at keeping small debris out of the pool

Durability is awful!

We bought this cover (1600 Series) in April to extend the time we could be in a 90 degree pool. It works great, but after only having it on the pool for 3 months we started seeing plastic floating in the pool, and the edges are getting very brittle. I had read the negative reviews, but there were far more positive ones so we decided to give it a try. Oh well, whats a few hundred bucks :-(

Pros
  • heavy, strong, big should last a long time
Cons
  • The grommets may rust over time

10 months later its disintegrating if you move it

I liked the blanket, it worked as advertised, but I expected it to last at least a year. 10 months of use = when you lift it from the water it literally shreds in your hand like a wet paper towel

Pros
  • Lightweight and easy to handle
Cons
  • The cover may not fit tightly enough to prevent heat loss

Cost effective option for swimspa

Very happy with the cover. It is heavy enough to be durable, and still easy to trim to size with regular household scissors. I an using it for our swimspa. By cutting it larger than the pool surface area, I have no problem with the jets coming on and moving it around.

Pros
  • Highly recommended by satisfied customers
Cons
  • The cover may be prone to developing wrinkles or bubbles over time

Only good for 1 season

This review is being made during 2nd season of regular summer use, May-August.The first year of use it was ok, it didn’t heat water as we had hoped but after several weeks the water finally was warm enough to swim. It does help keep heat in water once water is heated up from the sun.Now to 2nd season use. Mind you this solar cover was stored inside garage after being cleaned and and dried fully after the 1st season use.We got it out and could tell a difference in it from the prior year, just…

Pros
  • Made with UV-resistant materials to prevent damage
Cons
  • The cover may require additional time to remove before swimming

So far, so good! - my new review

We just put this cover on our pool last week. It's very well made. The seams look really durable and the cover itself has a nice feel to it. A little textured, which is easier to grip. Only time will tell if this lasts. We're in the midwest and we keep a solar cover on the pool most times when we're not swimming, for both heat retention and keeping leaves out. So our covers only last 3-4 years at that.I did just realize that we did NOT get the 6 grommets we were supposed to. But I didn't…

Pros
  • Helps to keep the water clean and clear
Cons
  • The cover may be bulky and difficult to store

Must have for all pool owners in warm climates

Works great. Pool evaporates less and stays warm. Material is thick enough to take some minor abuse from constantly rolling and unrolling. I have an odd shaped pool. I just cut the cover as a rectangle to cover as much as possible. Any other shape would have been difficult to use our roller. Our pool guy said that as long as 80% is covered, the cover should work fine and it does.

Pros
  • Can pay for itself in energy savings
Cons
  • The cover may cause irritation to the skin upon contact

Innovative Technology that works!

Purchased this cover to replace a worn out pool cover. Not only does it keep the heat from escaping from the pool, it cuts down on humidity in the pool house. We have an indoor pool and was having a problem with humidity and mold as a result. This eliminated the need to use a dehumidifier, plus we were able to get rid of the mold. I highly recommend this cover for indoor use. I can't comment on how it works outdoors, since we have an indoor pool.

Pros
  • Available in a stylish and attractive blue color
Cons
  • The cover may require a separate reel system for easy use

End of second season it disintegrated

We are in central NJ so we wanted to help heat our pool to start the season with warm water. We bought a roller for easy on and off and cut the cover to size because we have an free flowing pool shape. It worked great until the end of it's second season - we removed the cover and saw thousands of tiny little circles floating on the water - Took me a few seconds to realize what was happening. We rolled this baby up every day, and stored it for the season after cleaning and drying it. We could…

Pros
  • Comes with clear instructions for installation
Cons
  • The cover may require additional chemicals for proper maintenance
