Type of review

My son has been using this bike for the past couple of months. Overall, we love this bike. The only area that we think could improve is the silicone rubber sleeve that covers the handle bar. It breaks easily just with one fall of the bike onto the ground. Ours got broke the very first time my son was riding the bike, otherwise it seems to be a great balance bike.

Pros
  • LIGHTWEIGHT FRAME - Built with strong carbon steel for every details of this balance bike, weights 13.5 lbs , the lightweight balance bike frame design makes the bike easier to control for older kids, ideal for children to start training bike balance. The bike provides a safe, easy and most efficient way for easier transition to pedal bikes
Cons
  • Not suitable for children who have not yet developed the necessary balance

You might get the wrong instructions book with your bike

The brakes are very hard to figure out and they sent the wrong instructions for a different style bike so ill have to look up how to fix the brakes.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • May not be effective in helping children transition to regular bikes

Great learning tool!

My 6 year old grandson was not "interested” in riding his bike. He didn’t want to ride with training wheels but couldn’t quite get the hang of riding without them. After only 5 hours on the balance bike, he got on his regular bike, without training wheels, and hasn’t stopped since! This balance bike was a great investment and is a sturdy bike.

Pros
  • Helps build confidence in young riders
Cons
  • No option for building up speed as the bike does not have pedals

Great teaching tool before real bike

Has helped my 6 year old finally get the hang of balancing on a bike. He never made progress with training wheels so we decided to take a step back and go to a balance bike. After just a couple days he's flying around on this thing and loves it. We have no doubt his next real bike will be much easier for him to master now.Only issue I had was the hand brake setup because it was either way too tight or not tight enough on the tire.

Pros
  • Perfect for kids who are afraid of falling off a traditional bike
Cons
  • May not be as fun or exciting as a bike with pedals

Instructions need work

I put it together using the picture since the instructions were very vague. It was not correct; I’d put the front on backwards. The brakes were not come adjusted correctly (they did not touch the wheel at all when I squeezed the handbrake). I had a friend who bikes competitively look at it, and he informed me I’d put it together wrong and helped me fix it, and he had to adjust the breaks and told me it was a two person job to do so without a special tool. So, putting a bike together without…

Pros
  • Durable construction
Cons
  • Cannot be used for long distances

Great purchase! good for me

This was perfect for my little one and has been a huge help for him in the learning process. It is well built and has held up great, even being stored near the ocean

Pros
  • Perfect for children learning to balance and steer
Cons
  • Not suitable for older children who have already mastered the art of cycling

Great in theory, a few stumbles along the way

This is working magic as far as my 5-year learning balance! On the downside, the brake doesn’t work.seems like a cheaply made part. And it came with a flat tire.the puncture.so I had to patch the tube before he could test it out.Once it’s been up and running (besides the brake issue) it’s been great!

Pros
  • Helps develop a sense of independence and self-confidence in children
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to learn how to ride than a traditional bike

Good enough for a bigger kid balance bike

Fairly happy with the bike. The wheels aren't very true but doesn't seem to bother my son. I don't expect him to be using this for more than a year so good enough. It's strong enough. Feels like the quality of a huffy.

Pros
  • No need for training wheels
Cons
  • Child may not learn proper leg movements for pedaling

Pay Attention to the Size

The bike itself is fine, however, either I was going too fast while purchasing or the size of the bike wasn’t clear. When I got the box the size on the bike stated 18months, 2T, 3T, 4T, 5T. Had THAT been clear while purchasing I would have made a better purchase. I will end up gifting this bike to a younger member of the family next week and buying the next larger size. My son moved out of 5T two months ago.The bike itself is perfect. The sizing part just isn’t or wasn’t clear.

Pros
  • Helps develop cognitive skills such as decision-making and problem-solving
Cons
  • Cannot be used for commuting

Quality Bike for my opinion

My daughter is a reluctant bike rider. This balance bike gave her the confidence to learn to ride. It is a high quality bike and the customer service is very responsive!

Pros
  • Provides a fun alternative to traditional bikes
Cons
  • Can be more taxing on leg muscles than traditional bikes

First the good. It's light, the sizing is as described, inexpensive, and fair value for the money. I'm hopeful that our 6 year old will master balance and steering since she is too intimidated by her training wheels bike (she pedals just fine but is terrified to fall over so moves at a glacial pace and can't seem to master the coaster brake). The bad are what you'd expect from a bike at this price: the wheels are not super true, and the brake calipers and lever are of such low quality that they…

Pros
  • Ideal for kids aged 3 to 8 years old
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use for children with disabilities

Poor assembly in my review

The ball bearing trace on the handlebar column was full of grit with no grease. Ball bearings fell out when the column was opened. Thankfully my husband knew how to open and clear out the grit and grease with bearing grease.

Pros
  • The alloy frame is sturdy and durable
Cons
  • Cannot be used for tricks or jumps

I love this bike. My son is a huge 3 year old with a disability. Most balance bikes are too small for him but he refuses to ride anything else. I found this one online which is the perfect height and adjusts bigger. It was easy to assemble and came with a very nice pop-out card encouraging kids to get out and ride but to ride responsibly. I feel like the material of the bike is very heavy duty and well-made. I am overall very impressed with this bike. It came with a little bell which was a…

Pros
  • The handbrake makes it easy to stop quickly and safely
Cons
  • Not ideal for children who are already hesitant to ride a bike

Good bike, sturdy and well made, but.

My 5 year old has not gotten into bike riding yet, and we figured he would be more interested if we got him a bike like this, since a regular bike with training wheels was a disaster. Well, the bike is everything they say it is and more, but the 5 year old called it a baby bike. He rode out once, and has since refused.

Pros
  • Fosters a love for cycling in children
Cons
  • Cannot be used for racing

So So Quality-pick something else

This bike is very cute. It was easy to assemble. It is lightweight. My daughter loves it. Those are the only pros.QUALITY is lacking. Once assembled we immediately noticed that the bearings in the front of the bike where the handle bars turn the wheel and which came pre-assembled are rubbing and grinding so badly there is metal dust coming out of the joint. Also, the brakes were so poorly pre-assembled that they were hitting the spokes, not the tire rim. My husband fixed this but then the part…

Pros
  • A fun and enjoyable way to explore the outdoors!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children who prefer a faster-paced ride

Worth every penny: my feedback

I’ve been trying to get my son to ride his bike without training wheels for soooo long. 4 years… he got the courage up last year to try, fell and has been afraid ever since. He would ride his scooter like a maniac though so I knew his balance was there… I saw this balance bike and figured it was worth a try… y’all … he rode this thing TWICE around the block… got on his bike and pedaled away. Yesterday we rode over two miles on our bikes , no training wheels. I don’t even care that he only used…

Pros
  • The bike is lightweight, making it easy to carry
Cons
  • Child may not be able to keep up with friends using traditional bikes

So frustrating! in my review

I am a single mom and am new to all of this. I am beyond frustrated that this manual doesn’t match this bikes. The pictures are different and I am about to lose it already.

Pros
  • Makes the transition to a regular bike easier
Cons
  • Not suitable for children who are not interested in cycling

Great tool to learn how to ride a bike.

This is a great inexpensive tool to teach your kids how to ride. I show 2 kids to ride on this. The older one (8) 45 seconds to teach and the younger one (6) took 3 hours. I ‘m amazed. Only issue is the cheapness of the break. I wish I showed them earlier.

Pros
  • Helps teach balance through play
Cons
  • No option to coast

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No assembly instruction. Hand brakes are challenging

Liked the bike. There is NO specific instruction to put together this bike and no YouTube video to show for this specific bike in spite of what the box says. Shows you a different bike completely with no hand brake section which is the most difficult part to assemble. Ended up taking it to a bike shop. But my girl did learn how to balance in just a couple of days and now her training wheels are off and she is doing fine.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • Requires a longer time to learn than classic pedal bikes

Helping my 5 year old learn to ride

This is a great way for a reluctant 5 year old to transition to a two wheeler. Skip the training wheels. I would have started her on one of these at 3 had I the option but was very happy they make them for the bigger kids too. My little girl loves coasting around and is picking up balance with out the pedals in the way.

Pros
  • Safe and stable design
Cons
  • Tires can be easily punctured as the bike lacks puncture-resistant technology
