Only buy it if you have

The price is high for a darn hitch but they make hitches so you have to buy an expensive ball from them instead of fitting them into already expensive hitches. For price comparison, a standard size 2 5/16 ball is $12 at the farm store.

Pros
  • . Everything is great!
Cons
  • Doubtful

hitch ball as described.

Needed a shortened equalizer ball stem to replace a ball someone had installed on a used 4 point equalizer hitch I bought. The ball corresponds to the description and eliminates the possibility of touching the seats of the spring levers on sharp turns when reversing.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Minor bugs

A mandatory element of the Equil-iz-er pendulum hitch. .

A must have feature of the Equil-iz-er pendulum hitch. Shank 2-3/8 length. The standard shaft length is 2-5/8. This ball fits in the ball pocket without getting in the way of the swing arms. I bought a Revain 1-7/8 socket to fit the ball socket. 643216 Power Supply.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • old

Shiny new ball. for external accessories

Great for Equal-i-zer clutch. Remember you will need a thin 1 7/8 inch socket to tighten to the EQ coupler. OK. Others have said the socket doesn't match their clutch and I can see that depending on the cast there could be problems.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Crumpled

You need a thin-walled socket!

If you are purchasing this ball to use the Equal-i-zer 4-point hitch, be sure to purchase a thin-walled base. I was unaware of this fact when ordering parts for this hitch and my husband was unable to install the hitch ball due to this fact. We called 10 different places and none had a 1 7/8" thin wall outlet. We had to buy another hitch to bring our trailer home. I will be returning this item.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Out of fashion

VERY CERTIFIED PRICE! suitable for outdoor accessories

Nothing to do. This piece of steel is too expensive. You can get a ball of the same weight or more for a lot less money, and I'm not even talking about "non-branded" options. Kurt and Reese both offer 12,000# balls at a much lower price than Equal-i-zer "sprinkled with Pixie Magic Dust". I think it's not enough that you spend $600-$700 on an Equal-i-zer clutch, they feel the need to rock you on the ball too.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not bad

Essential for the Equalizer coupling system

I bought a used Equalizer coupling that had a non-leveling ball installed in it. The previous owner must have made a sharp twist which then jammed the rod mount into the threaded portion of the ball shank. This deformed the parts and caused some scratches on the friction surfaces. I was able to fix it, but unfortunately the equalizer requires you to buy a special ball to keep it from happening again. I even tried cutting 1/2 inch off the standard threaded shank and it messed up the saw blades…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Damaged

Good quality. A bit overpriced.

It's hard to see a piece of steel but I'll try. That's a ball. That's what it's supposed to be. The only reason for less than 5 stars is 1. The price is a bit high. It's pretty easy to find standard hitch balls for a few bucks less than these. I think he is paid extra for Equalizer brand weight distribution (WDH) hitches due to the specific dimensions. The shank length should be 2 3/8, the shank diameter 1 1/4. Try to find one of these in store. If you need something special, you pay special…

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Not the best
