I ordered one with 2 knobs. Incorrect instructions for Mitsubishi Montero 98 (not Montero Sport) with factory alarm. The program button is not under the dashboard. It's on the dashboard. However, I could not program the remote control. Tried many times. Have returned the item.

Very glad I bought this. My car wasn't there when I bought it, but I knew from the year my car was supposed to be. This one came quickly and with instructions on the website giving you the information you need to install it. It took me 10 minutes to get everything working. love it

Worked great on a 2003 Montero Sport LTD that didn't have a remote opener. Programming is a bit difficult for one person, but I keep a jumper on the pins of the OBD2 port. and my daughter makes the key very quickly. We programmed it in less than a minute and it works great and has a very good range too.

I really want these "car" companies to fix their models. Again, another company seems to have decided that the Montero Sport is just a trim level of the Montero, when in fact it's a completely different car. I've found some programming instructions elsewhere for the Montero Sport that should make it work (even the model number matches an existing one that was bitten by a dog), but the car just won't go into programming mode no matter how many times we do try this or this procedure.
