Fits just like the original and doesn't have the horrible safety latch which I like a lot more. Exactly as advertised and fits my 2007 gmc sierra.

So far so good. Simple replacement for the rusty one that was installed on the vehicle. I will update if I encounter any problems. I installed this on a 2007 Chevy Silverado NBS.

Great Replacement! I'm glad I realized my original lift wasn't good before I needed it! Raising and lowering the winch is easy, especially without an additional latch like the factory one. There were also no problems with the self-start.

This item looks great and is easy to fit but the size of the bracket that goes through the center of the wheel is the hole for a 6 hole wheel. An 8-hole wheel has a much larger center hole. The holder is too small for such a large opening. In other words, this applies to 1/2 ton (1500) trucks, not 3/4 ton or 1 ton (2500, 3500).

When the spare tire winch on my 2010 Silverado 1500 failed, I was looking for a replacement. Three different auto parts stores had replacement parts priced between $170 and $200, but these replacement parts were not quite the same as the OEM winch and did not have a built-in fuse like the OEM winch. I then checked the dealer parts department and the replacement cost over $300 and when I asked to check the replacement I found that the OEM replacement had done away with the security lock as well.

Beware buyers - the compatibility description for this lift is incorrect and misleading. This particular product will only work with the six stud wheel that comes with the 1/2 ton Silverado/Sierra models, although it will fit the 2500HD '99-2017. As you can see from the photo the pad holding the tire is barely wider than the 8 lug center hole required on the 3/4 ton models and does not hold it in place properly.
