They work well for my needs. They hold ink nicely and other than the perforations sticking together, it's a good fit. However, the seller keeps sending me the wrong journals when I try to buy the dotted journals. I give up.

I had purchased the Papercode lined notebokks some months ago and found them to be very good overall. These dot grid books are similiar, but leave something to be desried. The paper hold up fine to most fountain pen ink, but one of the bookmarks and the elastic band both came loose within days. This pack comes with 2 - 5 1/2 x 8 inch notepads. Each page has a dotted grid instead of lines. I personally like this, because it lends itself to doodles and fun additions to your notes.The cover is soft, though firm, and has a nice texture. It comes with a ribbon and an elastic closure which I have come to appreciate. This keeps my pages from getting all messed up in a tote bag or backpack.This seems very comparable to my moleskin journals and I would recommend these.

This is a pretty decent set that looks nice. I do like the cover as it isn't your typical cardboard notebook cover. I have been using one for my recipes and the other for writing down diagrams for my woodworking. The dots work a lot better for both those applications than the solid lines. They have been holding up well though I have been pretty careful with them.

I primarily got these for practicing calligraphy. I like to use dot grid paper and I prefer to just use tear out pages. I try to practice 1-2 pages a day but I generally only do one side. This paper is thick enough that some inks don't bleed through so you could write on both sides. If that's a concern to you, my advice would be to tear out one page and use it to test whatever pens, markers, inks you want to use. That way you can see if that particular medium will bleed or not. These are really nice, basic bullet journals. I like the basic black cover as I wasn't looking for anything flashy. The paper has a nice thickness to it. I haven't had any issues with bleeding through the pages. And, I love that the pages are perforated and can be removed easily without messing up the binding or any other pages.

These had an unpleasant smell from either the plastic cover or the glue. That dissipated over a couple of days. The elastic band on one of the notebooks was broken on arrival. Otherwise, these are nice: good paper and a convenient size to carry for sketches and notes.

This was a durable notebook. It did not fall apart and was good for what I wanted to use it for. learning to draw. I have no complaints about this item.

Update: The book covers still smell. But I realized the paper is the same size and color as the paper in my classic size Minimalism Art journals, so I can cut out pages and tip them in with repositionable tape. It's nearly perfect, the dots are just a little dark. Now I have removable pages at the back of my bullet journal.The books I received really smell horrible but the odor has been getting better since I opened them. I believe it's the glue (or coating on the cover or something like that).
