Out of date: Gaskets

This air intake was specified for my engine but does not fit. I had to replace the mass air flow meter because the air flow through the guides has a different speed than with the factory compressor. The biggest flaw is that the coolant fitting at the back right of the inlet is capped and clipped: there is no tab on the fitting to pinch it from underneath. So when you hit 4000+ rpm it blows off the cap and resets. coolant in seconds. This is a design flaw from hell. No glue holds it.

The screws that come with the kit are rubbish

Take 1 screw to your favorite hardware store and buy a replacement in time. Or knock out the holes to mount the original screws. The screws that come with it are junk. Will break just under the head of the screw {bolt}. The holes for the fuel rail must be pre-punched. screw in a new screw and remove all holes {before installation} i had broken 3 screws also with pre-threads. Pushed down and just cut off his head. 2 on the fuel rail and one on the coil. The one from behind, of course.

Overall a good buy! for spares

Everything installed as expected except for a couple of screw holes in the throttle body that weren't deep enough and the screws were tightened before they touched the throttle body. I just took a drill and drilled through the bottom of the hole until it was deep enough. As long as you don't push the screws and follow the installation carefully, you shouldn't have any problems. DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS! I saw a few videos on youtube, not about this particular seller, about how they cut holes for…

This collector works

This job took about 6 hours over 3 days. I've heard others say 1.5 hours so your results may vary. I didn't disconnect the fuel line, just moved the fuel rail. I didn't have to disconnect the EGR pipe from the exhaust, only from the throttle body. Lots of great videos on YouTube. Lots of hand tools. Swivel head adapter, torque wrench, 3/8 flexible ratchet which I used with copper tubing as a handle extension for 1 bolt. I didn't mark anything and also bought new candles and coil packs. The car…
