Be ready to scratch your joints

I bought this for my 2014 Suburban LT as the cabin air filter chamber was factory sealed and I wanted to install a cabin air filter. I had to cut out a factory seal that was tight for reasons of space, but was able to mount it in 30 minutes.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Everything is great

Easy conversion to 05 Sierra.

This is a simple cabin air filter conversion kit. I cut out the airbox on my 05 Sierra using a utility knife and a dremel. First check out my vaporizer, pretty clean. With this new approach, I cleaned the evaporator coils, collected the crude oil in the sump and flushed it to the bottom.

  • Decent performance

2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 LT Extended Cab. 6.6 footbed

The process was fairly simple and straightforward. Went really smooth. Only 15-20 minutes. The plastic around the filter broke during installation. (See photo) He couldn't handle a full bend. But it won't affect anything. Overall good price compared to others and easy installation. Definitely recommend. Worked great on my truck.

  • Good product for the price

Will not work for 2010 Chevy Silverado Trucks. FALSE CLAIM.

I bought this product thinking I could install it on my 2010 Chevy Silverado as he claims but when I removed the bottom cover I found that there was no room for upgrades in the air system. After researching it further, I found that many Chevy trucks never had a cabin air filter, and mine was one of them. Don't be fooled into looking for more information before purchasing.

Full size for air cleaner and accessories only

I was trying to install a cabin air filter on my 2004 Envoy. Judging by the forums this cap should work but not really, it's too big. It's not the parts fault, it's my fault for not doing my due diligence. The deal is a treat; The price was reasonable, delivered fairly quickly and complete with all the equipment. If I had a full size 2004 GM GMT 800 SUV (Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon or Escalade) this is what I need. This does not work on any GMT360.

This retrofit kit worked great on my 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71

Removed the floor panel on the right side of the cab. I then used a dremel with a cutting wheel to cut a rectangular piece along the visible lines to make a hole for the filter. It didn't look perfect like I was working at my workbench. I then used a sanding tip to smooth the edges. The filter included in the kit fitted perfectly, as did the new plug to fill in the cutout. The camera already has a hole for the supplied screw. One end of the skid plate hooks into the back of the plenum and…

Great accessory

My 2011 Chevy Avalanche already had a filter box but no removable cover. By purchasing this cover you will see exactly where to cut the plastic air duct in your car. The hardest part was cutting out the plastic. I used a drill, a dremel tool and a hacksaw blade that I cut in half and used by hand without a hacksaw frame. My truck had limited space to move around and accessing that area made things a bit more difficult for me (if you're young and flexible it might not be that difficult). I…

Cabin Air Cleaner

Yes, GM should have done this from the factory. But General will do whatever it takes to save five cents in total cost per million vehicles. Installation on the 2011 Yukon XL is easy. First remove the small gray plastic piece on the front of the center console. Then loosen the three 7mm screws holding the black sheath. The third screw is easiest to access with a 1/4 ratchet and a 7mm deep socket. You see the part that needs to be cut off. Can't miss. It has grooves. The easiest way is to use a…
