🔷 6-inch 3M Ultrafine Polishing Pad - Perfect-It, Model 33286 Review

Great new pad with a centering piece in the middle. It is designed for 3M 39062 Perfect-It Ultrafine machine polish. I mainly use this on black cars to finish or remove streaks.

Goes well with Griot's Garage Orbital Buffer. Spot polishing and waxing is great. Buffing an SUV can take time with a 3 inch pad, but it's still faster and more efficient than by hand. My SUV takes about 1.5 hours with a few breaks, while I can walk my sports car in about 45 minutes.

These foam polishing pads are expensive but outperform all others. They make a beginner feel like a pro, but only a pro can afford to replace them on a weekly basis. An unavoidable consequence of using compounding and polishing pads is cracking of the pad surface. That makes them as reliable as a cheap pair of shoes, but I won't be using the others. I just won't paint too much. Excellent shine (but CYING!).

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Polish Blue "Soft” polishing pad to quickly fix fogged headlights. For most lenses, this is a 10 minute correction. The really bad guys get 3M Super Duty Rubbing Compound with a purple "hard" pad. Usually one swab, sometimes two to clean very foggy lenses, then a blue pad of Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, and then a car wax. I use a Bosh 12 volt drill and it works great. I get all my products and drills from Revain where prices are low and shipping is great.

I ordered this finished Revain. I have already bought 3M hook pads. I ordered Perfect-It Ultrafine for the first time. When I received them I thought they were fake 3M pads due to the poor quality. I just can't believe these are 3M products when I compare them to my other 3M pads and sticky pads, but they are and 3M has confirmed it. Cons: The pad is uneven - one side is thicker than the other. The pad backing is different from other 3M hook pads I own. The velcro is damaged and barely adheres…
