I used these more than once

They are just as described and I would definitely buy again. The peat pots may not be sturdy enough to hold larger plants and can easily disintegrate when watered!

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons

Cracked Dome Lids good for me

We bought these specifically to germinate seeds and the dome lids were important to this process for these particular seedlings. The dome lids were all stacked together and you couldn’t pull them apart without cracking them all. Some more still useful but most of them or not.

Pros
  • Eco-Friendly
Cons
  • The set may only be useful for a short period since the humidity dome may need to be removed after the seedlings grow

Genius idea, great little cups

I purchased these for a couple reasons,1. The amount you get for the price. $18 for a pack of 36 cups WITH a reusable greenhouse dome. A pack of 6 of these without the greenhouse dome is like $7-8 at Walmart. So it’s definitely worth it!2. I liked the idea of having individual transplantable cups with domes so I can monitor my seeds separately rather than putting all my seeds into a tray and having to deal with one big heavy item. With the individual, I can give each seed the sunlight it…

Pros
  • Convenient Set-Up: The humidity dome and plant labels included in this set make it easy to set up and keep track of your seedlings
Cons
  • The peat pots may dry out too quickly, causing the plants to suffer from dehydration and stunted growth

Works well: my feedback

The domes do a great job of keeping the top soil moist. They also fit inside standard red solo cups, and I have been using them for both the solo cups and the peat cups. So far maybe 30 seedlings planted with none lost. For my purposes the peat cups could use smaller drain holes, though. I find the cups have a little too much drainage for their size, and I have to water them daily when they are sitting under the hot lights.

Pros
  • Keep Plant Healthy: Our plant containers are biodegradable, which will keep you from damaging the roots of your plants and avoid transplant shock, no need to worry about disturbing the roots by transplanting.
Cons
  • The peat pots may not biodegrade as quickly as advertised, contributing to waste in the environment
