3M BR212 BRUSHED BLACK METALLIC Review

Ordered a 60" x 12" to wrap all of my BRZ's interior trim. Accordingly, you need something more. Just a piece of advice to anyone considering ordering this product to wrap BRZ trim parts: order two.

Bright gusts of wind, even a beginner like me could handle my e90 trim and make it look decent. Excellent graduation film. Grade thin but it helps in hard to wrap corners

The material is easy to process. I taped the printed PDF to vinyl and cut it out with a utility knife. Easy to make and suited my application well. I'm happy with how it turned out. Photos look great. My template could be better but the vinyl is perfect, will buy again if I need more.

I like other 3m vinyls. But it's normal. Oddly cropped, but the end result is terrible. I bought Vivid at the same time and installed both on my machine. 3m looks cheap and plasticky, but the light one actually looks very nice. 3m handles much better than bright, but their quality is solid and the difference is negligible. For me, finishing was everything, and he failed at that.

I love the look of this vinyl with its matte metallic finish but I have issues with it that prevent me from buying it again. First, a glossy matte finish would have been much better. 2nd and it's a BREAKING DEAL, IT'S VERY THIN! If your surface is not flawless, the thinning method will reveal every line and defect in your material. It would be nice if it was at least 5 times thicker, then your surface doesn't have to be perfectly smooth.

I bought this product to modify my computer case. and it looks great. But then I started thinking about other things I could turn into brushed aluminum (like a Weber grille cover, car mirror mounts, etc.). This material is very easy to apply and stays in place even after pressure is applied. With this product you are only limited by your imagination. GREAT THUMBS UP! And if you don't like it, take it off. leaves no marks on the surface.

The product itself is very nice. Looks great in my car. But as other people have said the problem is how the brush grit goes. I understand this being done with the grain going a long way on a 5 foot wide roll. So if they sell a 1x5 piece, we're stuck with 1 foot wide grain. It would be nice if the seller just cut some 5 foot pieces and then cut them the other way into 1-3 foot pieces. It sucks to buy a 5' x 5' section just to wrap a 6" piece of dash trim.

It's Great! I ordered many samples to find the right sample and do some testing with the materials I was wrapping (mostly MDF). Adheres very well (provided the surface is clean and smooth). I didn't even have to heat it up to pack all the items I've used it on (including a bunch of oddly shaped wall units). Looks great and seems very durable. I was a bit concerned about the water, hot, cold and shock resistant finish so I wrapped a small board and ran it through the steps. Nothing but piercing…
