3M Clear Scotchgard Protection 84 Inches Review

I've tried gluing transparent films many times, and each time with difficulty. I have the right tools, the patience, but it's never perfect or really good. I think the temp is more important than mentioned, I've had issues where the temp was too high and too low, maybe 70 to 80 is best? Maybe I'll try again next month.

Easy to fit and much cheaper than personal bike frame protection. I've used it on two bikes before and as long as you spray water on the sticky side with a minimal amount of dish soap and then use a squeegee to remove any air bubbles, it does very well. It's not as thick as some of the very protective Custom Wraps, but for 1/5 the price I think it's good enough.

First try, had my fingerprints on the sticky side, tried again more carefully, same problem, tried a third time wearing latex gloves, same problem. This allows me to see perfect, forensic-quality fingerprints when I touch the back during installation. not sure how to avoid it, maybe use tweezers to apply? the material is very thick. he says it's practically invisible when installed, but apparently it's not. still a high quality 3m product but failed to remove air bubbles and fingerprints. 4 inches is the perfect size! I wrapped about 80% of my bike in this clear bra and it's great. So far I've ridden gravel and muddy roads and have no complaints! It's barely visible. Installation was very easy, I highly recommend a spray bottle of water and some baby shampoo to rub in, otherwise you will find this very difficult to apply and remove any air bubbles. If you have air bubbles, just leave them in the sun for a day or two and they will go away on their own. Excellent defender. 4…
