🔋 4.5Ah 14.4V Ni-Mh Replacement Battery for iRobot Roomba R3 500/600/700/800/900 Series Review

My Romba 650 is four years old. The original battery broke because it ran out during our vacation. I replaced it with this one and it cleaned for almost two hours. I simply replaced it again after two years because the cleaning time became shorter.

I ordered this battery because my previous one didn't last as long without charging. When I charged this battery it only lasted about 1/2 hour while the previous one lasted at least an hour when I stopped using it! I recycled my old battery and got rid of the packaging from it, otherwise I would have sent it back. I have ordered replacement batteries from Revain twice and have been satisfied, but this one is not at all satisfactory. Very disappointed.

I found a Roomba 510 in new condition at a local Goodwill store. The only problem was that the original battery didn't last more than 6 minutes on a charge. After installing and charging overnight, Roomba cleaned the living room carpet in 28 minutes and then the family room in another 34 minutes on the same charge. What a huge difference! Thank you for providing me with a cute vacuum cleaner and a little less housework and a fun new toy for my boston terrier to run around the house with.

The battery no longer charges properly. When I got this back in August 2020 it was charging and working and the iRobot ran, but lately it hasn't been cleaning as long and returning to base more often. Now I'm seeing this error 5 just like someone else mentioned the battery isn't charging. I'm not spending any more money on this one I wanted to upgrade from a previous mHa. Look at that, so much money for these replacement batteries and they don't last that long.

I still own a few of the original iRobot Rumbas robots that were released over two decades ago. No matter how much I thought about upgrading, I found that older devices are like a science project. You can take them apart, diagnose the problem and swap out the parts as you wish. Batteries (for me) can last a couple of years before needing to be replaced. My 655 Roomba's battery was so low it only lasted 2 minutes before it gave a sweet "Please charge Roomba!" Updated 10/31/2020: After only a few months of use and less than ten charges, the battery is able to carry a large charge. I get more run time from the original one I replaced. I think you pay for what you get. You might not even get what you pay for in this case.
