This paper is not suitable for my purposes

I give this paper one star because every tape I use (I've tried several good tapes) ripped the paper, lifted the painted edges and damaged the painting. I'll stick with Arches Oil paper.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Damaged product

The notebook arrived dented with a broken binding, bent back panel, crumpled front cover and frayed paper edges, but it came in a great bubble wrap box? The entire pillow has a large dent on each sheet. I'm sure the quality of the paper is good, but it's not what you would expect when buying a new item.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

solvent resistant! great paper for oils and solvents

It is great for oil painting (I use oil pastels, oil sticks and oil paint diluted with LOTS of gumsol) and it was hard to find a support other than canvas that did this does not simply absorb Gumsol. Even with a small amount of Gamsol, the Strathmore Oilpaper didn't take it at all, which is great. These are thick, durable sheets of paper that don't absorb moisture, allowing you to finish, blend, and glaze as you wish. They also take colored pencils well.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
