If you don't need to use the cargo pockets these would be great shorts but the cargo pockets are a big part of what I need them for! These shorts are well made. The crotch is pleated so you don't have to worry about breaking when you crouch or bend down. My shorts are above the knee, I'm 6 feet tall. All pockets are usable, some of the shorts I tried are too tight around the hips making some pockets unusable. I recommend increasing the size to solve this problem if you have the same problem with other brands. The shorts are clearly well made. The material feels stiff and there are unnecessary sewing issues. The water beads up pretty easily, which is another good point.
