These are a cheap knockoff off the Clover brand. The slide mechanism isn't as sturdy, it unlocks too easily. Other than that, they work well.

The "0” is when you push it all the way forward gently one notch before the 1/2 mark. The black line by 1/4 is "0”. At the other end is a 5/8, 1/4, 1/8 marked in black lines. The clear circle below the marking might need to be on your fabric a little ways. The 8 clear notches pressed in the yellow plastic before "1” inch and starting at the 1/2 marker help you count back to 2/3, 5/8 gently pulling the green slider toward you. Be gentle with plastic and don’t let your people rough house with it.

The item is of the cheapest material possible, but you can still make it work. Will still be okay for some things, I think. The button to push to move the adjustment doesn't have a lot of use. It only catches anyway if you hold it in a certain position.

I really love my SEWING GAUGE RULER. I read someone said it doesn't stay in place, I have no problem with mine staying in place. I see someone else put a clip on theirs to keep it in place. Smart idea! I would recommend this any sewer! Very handy!

I make my own bias tape and these days I've been making a LOT of it. To cut the fabric, this little tool has been a real gem - much better than the regular seam gauges that I've always used. The green sliding part of this tool doesn't click into place, it just slides.and slides.and slides. So I taped it to the measurement I need for my bias tape. I'll have to un-tape it and tape it to another setting to use it for anything else, though. I think this was quite an oversight in design.

It appeared to be small but it is very handy . It can make the job done. It is very helpful for me since I am just learning how to sew. Recommended.

I ordered it because I always wanted this type of ruler however they are not as sturdy as they appear to be in the picture but they do work

Works great and saves a lot of time. Some people mentioned in their review that the tool slides and therefore won’t create a straight line. A little scotch tape will hold the device’s measurements in place and thereby solves that problem.

This is a nice little tool to have in a sewing box. It makes measurements on any hem much easier to set in place. It doesn’t slip when it’s being used.

Just used it to mark the seam allowance on a diy pattern piece.it is useful for several different measurements.it works as promised and is easy to use. This tool will have a permanent place in my sewing kit.

The gauge is a little hard to read and the slider does not work very smoothly. However, I have no comparison to the brand name for this item, as I have never used it. Regardless, it does help with my project, and I was glad to have two to work with.

I bought it thinking it would be a handy tool and was ,ildly impressed, but as I used it I discovered that the slider is too easily pushed forward and if you aren't careful checking to see that the marker hasn't move you can make an error in cutting or measuring for a hem, etc. Unlike the older metal tool where the slide stays put for the next marking i"m depending on.

I bought this sewing tool to help me make better and even hems for my and my family's pants and skirts/dresses. It is so easy to use and is a joy to use too!

This is a nice ruler but I wish it came with some kind of instructions on how to use it. I finally looked it up on the internet .

The black metal one is fine but the T gauge yellow plastic one is very cheaply made and breaks easily. The green part of the gauge doesn't do what it is meant to because it is so cheaply made and won't lock so it slides all over unless you push it real hard to keep it from moving.Won't be buying one like this again. Will order more of the black gauges.
