I was looking for light bottles for my triathlon bike. After receiving this. You are perfect. I can easily slide them in and out of my bike cage and they are easy to open and close with my mouth while riding. I'm not sure if that matters. But my wife said they are easy to clean and don't retain stains/color (because I add vitamins and electrolytes to red water).

Two problems, one of which is the horrible smell in these bottles. No way will I fill these bottles with water and drink with a smell, I washed them and nothing gets rid of the smell. Also, the underside of one of them has a defect: it's so thin that light can shine through it as if it were melted and only has a wafer-thin layer of plastic. No thank you!

These bottles are the right weight (not too light) and flexibility (easy to squeeze). When I received them there was a slight smell of plastic so I filled them with water and some Dawn and let them sit for 2 days. After rinsing, there are no more odors. Clean water in, clean water out. There was one small issue that was easy to fix: there was a small manufacturing flange around the rim that didn't quite seal perfectly.
