This is a crappy product. ATTENTION THE COLOR CODE IS NOT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I plugged in my trailer, then I plugged in my truck and the fuses blew. After troubleshooting, pins and wire colors do not match. I didn't have time to go back as I was supposed to be traveling but I spent all day swapping out the wiring.

Good quality cable, has two contact plates per connector (one on each side) instead of a spade lug like some cheaper cables. No, the colors do not match traditional trailer side wiring. Most cables will not fit as it is a standard RV connection. Just draw a diagram of your current wiring or take a photo. Dielectric grease on the blades protects against the elements and lubricates the metal joints so they don't warp or wear over time.

The connector is molded so there is no way to visually check which wire color is connected to which pin. After a lot of troubleshooting and realizing that the pins shouldn't be wired the 'standard' way, a little tinkering with the multimeter confirmed this. Someone in this manufacturing process thinks the yellow wire should be grounded and the white wire should be the left turn signal. Not to mention red taillights, green brakes and so on. very poor
