As an engineer, I am deeply touched. This piston doesn't look like much, but it creates an incredible seal and suction. In three pumps, this solved the problem I literally spent several hours trying to solve with a standard piston. To the unnamed engineer who sat down and thought about what the piston should be and then set about designing and building it, God bless you.

Although the product description states that this plunger will fit all shapes of toilet, it does not fit our extended toilet. It allowed so much clearance and let the air escape at just the right time. This product looks like it was made for a small round toilet. I would happily return the product if I could, but now all I have to do is throw it away and buy a new one. Please save money if you have an extended toilet.

Unfortunately, I have a habit of clogging toilets all the time. It's a shame really. And the whole time I was struggling with lame pistons. I thought mine was good but god this one is so much better. After my last clog, I rolled up my sleeves ready for a humiliating 10 minute clog fight. Instead, it took me five dives! The piston has a large radius of action and is ideal for emptying. Thank God. Clogged toilets are a matter of dignity and this plunger has helped me fix quite a few of them.

Excellent piston, only the steel rod or aluminum rod is very weak and got a thumb bump on first use. I would pay titanium. Now it has 3-4 dents and a partially bent rod. We have a faulty toilet - the new law requires a double flush, 0.2 gallons for liquids (not enough) and 1.2 gallons for solids (not enough) - it could also be that the water is only coming out in one place.
