At VTEC or high revs it sounds so mean and aggressive! I feel a little less torque and power at lower revs. Installed on Civic Si 09.

As far as my first engine modification on my 08 Si is concerned, this is a great start. Don't expect to feel the advertised HP boost (7 HP). True horsepower boost or not, this is a much more breathable and premium intake system than the stock airbox. It is also a great starting point for further modifications to the engine, header, exhaust, honda, brackets etc. In my opinion the best no chill air intake for an 8th gen Civic Si. Sounds amazing too.

This sound has transformed my Civic Si 08 from a purring kitten to a roaring tiger - I'm not kidding! Once VTEC kicks in, this thing just sounds like the beast waking up from hell! It's so awesome - I never tire of hearing it - and ironically, it's not annoying at all (at least to me) and doesn't make you sound like a stupid teenager. Installed on Honda si itself, not bad installation. It took about two hours. Sounds good from the driver's seat too, vtec sounds fantastic. I had headlines and an exhaust with Etune on hand. I put out 195 hp on the dyno. on wheels (before shooting). After installing the air intake, I proceeded to set up the dyno. Like all SRIs (Short Air Intakes) for the 8th Generation Civic Si, it also draws in hot air right next to the exhaust manifolds. Expect this to raise your interior air temperature by about 20-30F+ above ambient at highway speeds (more when driving around town).
