I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

In my opinion, it is ideal as the first macro lens for crop cameras. I have now ordered a Laowa 65mm 2:1 macro lens to replace this one. I decided to upgrade, because 1:1 is not always enough for me and Laowa is easier (well, it is 2.5 times more expensive). But if someone only wants to try themselves in macro, then this option is definitely for you.

Pros
  • Allows you to take very clear photos (if you use focus stacking, then generally a bomb). Suitable for portraits. Diaphragm ring. (Yes, for me it is more convenient than controlling it with the wheel on the camera)
Cons
  • Heavy. If you also shoot with a heavy flash, it starts to strain. Takes time to learn how to control focus and depth of field (but worth it).

Impressive macro lens

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can say that this lens is really impressive. The sharpness and quality of the images are top-notch, making it perfect for macro photography. The compact size and lightweight design make it easy to carry around, while the smooth and precise focus ring allows for precise adjustments. However, the autofocus can sometimes be slow and noisy. Overall, a great investment for anyone looking to elevate their macro photography game.

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

Crop lens. I stick to full frame. In full frame mode, there is a vignette around the edges of the frame. At some focus distances, the vignette disappears. Works great in crop mode. I use it for photos and videos. I am pleasantly surprised that for such a price I received a lens with a high-quality assembly and a good picture. Pros
  • Excellent build quality, image quality is very pleasing. Compact size. Price. Possibility to submerge in water up to 5 cm (with a long hood). Aperture 2.8. Ideal for a subject if there is no desire to take expensive native glasses.
Cons
  • For the price - not found. Next, more nitpicking: Due to the small diameter of the lens, it is difficult to choose a protective glass. I would like at least a rag cover in the kit. When focusing, the focal length changes.
