Pretty nice lamp overall

It's a nice lamp overall. I find myself closing one eye when looking through the magnifying glass portion. Then I loose some depth perception. But I can't seem to use it with both eyes open for some reason. It comes in handy when working on small items (electronics) or small gauge railroad train car wheels etc. It's also good for looking at metal detecting finds. I've been able to take photos with my iphone through the magnifying glass and they come out decent. Have not used the clamp footing…

Pros
  • Exactly what I needed. The light is bright and the product is sturdy.
Cons
  • The magnifying glass may not stay in place when adjusted, which could be frustrating

A steak and very useful

Wonder how I ever got by without this light. Use this light for a lot closer looks on almost anything. A must have. Some users may find the magnification level too high or too low for their needs.

Pros
  • Definitely help to see small things like, coins, Jewelry and threading a needle.
Cons
  • Some users may find the magnification level too high or too low for their needs

I love this light! for my opinion

I bought this to work on very detailed crafts. I love this light! I love the different hues and levels of brightness. It sits by my main chair and I sometimes use it as a low room light while watching TV. The lens really worked great.

Pros
  • magnifying glas(screen) too small
Cons
  • The stepless dimming feature may be difficult to use or adjust

Good light, but with a few issues

Bought this light for seeing tiny paint by number areas. The light is great - love the different "temperatures" of light, and the dimmer is great for preventing eye fatigue from too bright a light. Three big complaints: 1. The lamp base that sits on the table doesn't weigh nearly enough to counterbalance the light and magnifier so it falls over when you bend the neck close to your work surface which means I have to use the clamp. Obviously the clamp is less mobile and therefore less…

Pros
  • Can’t wait to try this at my desk. Don’t have my office set up yet.Thank you
Cons
  • The product may be too heavy or awkward to use for extended periods of time

Goose Neck Lamp/Magnifier

I like the concept of 2 types of bases, clamp on and free standing. Thus far I am using the free standing. When the lamp is bent over to its lowest extreme the base could use some additional weight to keep it from tipping over.I do crafts, the magnification is very good for doing small detailed work.I need the bright light mode, which is also very good.

Pros
  • Magnifying Tools
Cons
  • The product may not have a long warranty or guarantee, which could be concerning for users

Just what I needed for diamond painting!

Love this light. Love that there are different hues depending on what you are using it for and various brightness and dimming selections. Will be perfect for all kind’s of uses.

Pros
  • You need to have it attached to a table with vice
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with all types of bulbs or sockets

Less performance capability than I thought

I can’t use it for why I bought it. I have to have the magnifier so close to my intricate carving work, that I can’t use my cutting tools without hitting the lamp. Also, the goose neck doesn’t reach very far. It’s useless for my need. It wasn’t super expensive so I guess you get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Awesome
Cons
  • The magnifying glass may distort the image or cause eye strain for some users
