A20016 Fluval Rubber Adapter Ribbed Review

Very useful when adding an in-line heater or CO2 diffuser/reactor to a Fluval 206 filter. However I had to clamp some of the connections to prevent leakage to avoid .

It's pretty easy to work with and I've never had a leak. Make sure you buy the right size tubes for them - not all aquarium tubes are created equal.

If you're reading this, don't buy. Just don't buy from Fluval. The seller claims it fits the 407 filter, but it doesn't. My aquarium is crashing and the plants are dying from lack of CO2 and this shoddy biomass excuse can't even do its job properly.

Perfect for connecting flow hoses to my water heater which was made for regular vinyl hose. But you should get hose clamps from the hardware store if they can hold any weight at all. Nothing prevents the connections from breaking.

It smells very slightly and as soon as you open it you can smell a strong smell that indicates that it is quite toxic for the aquarium. So if you ever get them, don't let them come into contact with water at all unless you want to risk degrading the water quality and aquarium layout.

I ordered them to connect Hagen Fluval 105/205 (Fluval A-20014) finned hoses to a Fluval 106 canister filter after cutting the hoses too short. They are exactly what you need. They match this hose perfectly and are actually white/cream colored so match the factory adapters perfectly. I hope this helps as I wasn't sure if they would fit or not.

They are white not black as pictured but I don't care. I used them with the new Fluval 206 to hook up the CO2 reactor. Model 206 is for CO2 only. This works great if you can connect a 5/8" reactor to 1/2" tubing. Simply connect them to the 5/8" end of the reactor and the other end to standard 1/2" finned tubing. and use some hose clamps and it's good.

Ideal for 206's and essential if you plan to install built in products such as a UV or heater and as others have said instead of the black shown in the photo. To use after cutting Fluval finned tubing, simply insert the tubing all the way into the adapter until it stops. The other end will fit both 5/8" and 3/4" barbs with a little grease. Use stainless steel clamps to secure the fittings.
