Works well. to Portable Audio & Video

Antenna works DEFINITELY better than stock rubber duckies. Can continue listening and broadcasting in the area! Enough said.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons

Fast Antenna Drivers

Excellent antenna, very satisfied! Also sent back due to BNC fit, dangled a bit, got replaced with no problems and got a second one a few days later and thanks for that

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

Too heavy for HT.

When connecting to my HT, the BNC connector on the radio's motherboard immediately popped out! I do not recommend this antenna unless you are connecting it to a very powerful radio such as a radio. B. a military grade PRC. Just too much weight and stress for a normal HT.

Pros
  • Easy Installation

Better than expected

What can I say. Much better than the standard antenna, strong enough; great improvement that didn't cost me a kidney. I have 2x "AE 2990 AFS", both now fitted with a "medium sized version" of this antenna (a larger antenna would be too bulky for "real world use"). "). Very happy with this purchase. The seller was great too: fast shipping, great packaging; couldn't have asked for more.

Untenable. Not well done. BNC is difficult.

Honestly that's a good idea but poorly done. The BNC connector doesn't fit well and sticks a lot. The folding antenna is definitely not for frequent use. It required careful use of curved pliers to remove it from the radio to avoid damaging the BNC pin on the radio, and the radio pin works very well with other BNC antennas. It can be used but should not be removed and is certainly not suitable for frequent use.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Very expensive

Too big for your radio.

Tx and Rx worked fine until the antenna failed for a month. The device is too heavy for daily use at the HT CB. I bought it for a Midland 75-785 CB, the radio antenna came loose within a week. Every time I moved with the radio attached to my vest, the antenna got weaker and weaker. Now this doesn't work unless I hold it at a certain angle to the connector. I do not recommend this antenna for everyday portable use.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons

Impressive but curved.

Almost impossible to photograph to show but the antenna is permanently bent or "twisted" where it was folded for transport. At these weaker points, the antenna will always bend/fold under normal use without wind. In any wind, the antenna is useless. The antenna is probably bent at the factory to fit in the package. In the event of a longer standstill, these folds irreversibly damage the spring strip element. It's a real shame, because otherwise it works great (if not complicated).

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Negative available
