The ONLINE docs say DO NOT connect hard drives until the card's BIOS has been configured, or IT CAN REMOVE THE HARD DRIVE!

Most importantly, the online documentation says that hard drives should not be connected until the card's BIOS is configured, otherwise THE HARD DRIVE CAN BE REMOVED! This is NOT stated in the documents that came with the card. (2) The attached documents state that the BIOS utility is accessed by pressing CTRL-M during POST. THAT DOES NOT WORK! (3) The card does not recognize discs. A card from another manufacturer works fine in the same slot, so the problem is not with the computer. (4)…

Maybe a bit expensive for a g2x2 card with 2 eSATA ports

So far so good for me. I have an eSATA hard drive and an eSATA BDXL burner connected to it. Both work well on the map with Linux and Windows. The firmware on this card does not cause problems when devices are not connected. The card contained FH and LP brackets. The shape of the card is convenient for me as it doesn't impede airflow to the neighboring GPU as much as some larger or longer cards. The Marvell SATA3 controller on my motherboard is complete crap, just doesn't work properly

I appreciate when others post useful information, I hope this information is useful to someone. The Marvell SATA3 controller on my motherboard is complete junk, it just doesn't work properly. I was hesitant to take a risk on this board because it's also Marvell. But it worked fine. Windows 10 will recognize this board during a clean install without the need to manually download drivers.
