I ordered this fan to cool my Ubiquiti Unifi 8 Port PoE Switch. This particular switch is passively cooled (no built-in fans) and sits atop our entertainment center in our living room. It provides network connection to our Roku, Bluray Player, Game Consoles and Unifi PoE WiFi Hotspot. My AV receiver sits on the top shelf of a built-in wooden media cabinet. I don't have doors on my cabinet and any heat coming from my AV equipment needs to be vented through the front. I use this fan in my little beer cooler on the patio. My cheap fridge didn't have a fan to move the air, and with cheap temperature controls, the beer either froze or stayed too warm.
