I decided to take a risk and install this card in my desktop (Asus, i7 4770, 16 GB RAM, Geforce GTX 1060, Samsung 850 1 TB SSD) in order to use it in my new Smart Working from home has no Ethernet jacks and is completely wireless, mesh Wi-Fi, with the Ruckus system. I have a Comcast/Xfinity gigabit internet plan but have never connected directly to the gateway to measure the speed input and 42 on his Acer laptop. All of our other wireless devices like the Alexa Show and Roku are rock solid. The

Unpromised speed

This seemed like the perfect choice for my 1GB WiFi system. When using a wired connection, I typically use speeds between 750 Mbps and 950 Mbps; However, when using standard WiFi devices, my speed dropped to 200Mbps. Everything was packaged well, fitted my computer easily, and seemed like the perfect choice at first. It wasn't until a day or two later, when I had to use the high speeds, that I realized I wasn't getting what I bought. I've removed and installed the device twice, run all kinds of

Where to start - Train Wreck

This card can actually be a 2.9G card. It really can work. I have a DeepIn OS that I love, but I need a fast Wi-Fi card. The problem with this is that DeepIN OS is a Linux operating system. The documentation that came with the card also includes a minidisk that should contain the drivers. My CD drive works fine but will not read the CD that came with the card. The literature says you can go to their website and download the driver for Linux. They forget to give you their web address. I did a…

Inexpensive Wi-Fi Adapter PCI-E

This is about the same price as a good USB Wi-Fi adapter, but PCI-E is more reliable because it doesn't There are limitations on USB speed (although 3.1 standards are getting better and better). Even if USB is catching up, it still outperforms it in top speeds than comparable USB. Its antennas help a lot in getting a good signal on the college campus I'm on because of the concrete walls and congestion from new students. I haven't tested the Bluetooth capabilities and due to college congestion I

Not as expected after troubleshooting

Card installs as easily as you'd expect, but since I bought it a few months ago I've had connectivity and speed issues fixed from day one. I'm getting much slower than advertised or expected and the card was dropping connections on my old Linksys router until I tuned the 5GHz channel to a higher channel number (despite minimal signaling traffic across the band). After upgrading my AP's hardware to a Ubiquity device, speeds remain very slow even though I'm physically about 15 feet from the AP…
