A good product. Works as it should

Good product. Works as it should. I would recommend updating any aftermarket ignition components like the ignition control module or you will most likely fry it.

Pros
  • Doping ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • A few little things

and it worked fine. So the part that was sent to me.

Didn't even work properly and my machine started to backfire. So I bought another one from the parts store and it worked fine. So the part they sent me turned out to be defective and I will never trust buying auto parts here again. I will stick to what is known to me to the best of my knowledge and belief. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Would never propose to anyone.

Wouldn't waste my money.

Looks and fits well, worked great for a while, my only issue is that after a year and a half my truck was idling erratically once it got to operating temperature. Thinking it was one of my sensors or a vacuum leak I went through them all and found out it was this coil. For what it's worth I expected it to last a lot longer than it did. I will not buy this brand again.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Easier starts. for coils

I knew that installing the coil would not bring the desired result without other necessary updates, so I made the plugs and wires of the ignition module with zero resistance, the My Accel ignition module for GM externals University burned out after 8 months. Good thing I kept the OEM in the glove box, but the upgrades have reduced my fuel bills by about $20 from $140 a week. But the short lifespan of the nearly $50 control module has sapped my savings.

Pros
  • Robust finish
Cons
  • I will be silent

Quality reel at a great price!

I use this on my 1994 Chevy C2500 5.7L 350 it has worked great so far! I hooked it up to an MSD CDI wired to a standard ignition module and had no problems. This coil is too hot for plug wire so I have a set of MSD Super Conductor 8.5mm which have very good resistance characteristics and can handle as much juice as I can squeeze through them. I'm using Accel U-Groove Shorty plugs designed for header clearance. This coil gave my truck faster starts, a smoother idle, and better throttle response.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • weak

Great replacement spool.

I don't know if my stock coil was weak, wanted to make some improvements to the MPG and thought I'd start there. I just installed it 2 days ago, it works better, not day and night, but seems a bit cooler. MPG went up about 1mpg on a 250 mile trip I did recently (this is in a 1995 Tahoe 2wd with a TBI 350). I was pretty hard on the truck the last half of the ride and the truck was 1,000 pounds overweight. Overall I'm very impressed, the reel I received had a brass tip, 4 bolts/nuts and 2 strapsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Damaged

Waste of money for a poorly made part.

I'm not sure what happened to production level quality control but I had a problem installing this ignition coil. The terminals in each duo should be decent, not crappy like in this one. This has resulted in repeated loss of ignition without warning under a variety of conditions, and we all know that new failed components are the hardest to track down because you suspect a LAT.12/7 issue. I cut it apart to determine the problem. The connectors in the molded assembly are too big for anythingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price

So far so good - will be updated in the future

This replaced the OEP replacement ignition coil in a 94 C1500 with a 350, 5.7 liter engine. I'll try to post updates as often as some people say it's a fantastic replacement and others say it doesn't make a difference or stopped working sooner. I have had this car for 24 years now. It's not my daily driver anymore, but I still use it frequently and am very sensitive to any change in performance. I noticed a difference in the ignition coil almost immediately. At nearby speeds, it seemed fullerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Longevity molding
Cons
  • Negative impression
