Much better than expected

37 year old machinist. I was a bit skeptical about this being an imported item but was very happy with the accuracy. I didn't take better blocks as this is a one off job. Double checked with my Mitutoyo optical comparator. Yes, imports too, but you understand the quality. The readings were accurate.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Damaged

High quality is expensive

I bought these micrometers I took them to work and gave them to our inspection department and they didn't pass quality control they don't hold zero and you need a magnifying glass to see the numbers on the Seeing inserts I understand they are not sterritt or brown and sharp you get what you pay for I guess!

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good price - micrometer and accessories

Works and is cheaper than some brands. Included in the ad were a case, tips, a standard and a setting tool. I arrived a few minutes after sending it back because the spindle was trained so hard it couldn't turn without the ratchet slipping. I fixed this by adjusting the collet nut on the spindle threads; expensive brands usually do this before shipping. After setting it worked perfectly. The screws holding the finger grips were a bit loose causing the grips to rattle, but this was another easy…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
