Identical to OEM: Engine Cooling & Climate Control

This was identical to the factory fan clutch I pulled from my 2005 Trailblazer EXT. My water pump failed, so I replaced the fan clutch at the same time. This is sort of a project to replace that, so make sure you have a good understanding of what needs to be done before attempting it. Also, make sure you have some free time. You will need it!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Negative Impression

2003 Chevy Trailblazer Fan Clutch

Works as expected. Some people feel embarrassed that they received the wrong order because the part is marked as Behr. This is original equipment. I have tried fan clutches from 3 different brands (1aauto, Haynes, some other Chinese) for 2 years. Nothing worked properly. This is a proper fan clutch that is worth every penny. Don't waste money on other brands. I think there must be some internal patents because others run at much higher RPMs.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Very Expensive

ACDelco fan clutch, great buy.

Delco AC fan clutch. Bought with Gates water pump. Perfect fit and match. No problems installing. The price was $200 less than Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts and the exact same part (same part number) from dealers and independent garages. The best fan clutch deal I could find after weeks of searching the internet and elsewhere. Machine and motor now run quietly and evenly. Improved engine heating and cooling. Not sure why, but fuel economy seems to have improved slightly. Very happy with both…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Disappearance

Great product, OEM specification.

The product came as BEHR but the guys at GMTNation (GM enthusiast forum) told me it was a brand name that had just been rebranded and it was AC Delco, OEM. The clutch remained engaged for several minutes after installation. which worried me, but went. No codes, no problems. However, I have my own issues with the electronics in my car, so I still have some cooling issues. However, this fan clutch is not to blame. The bearing and fan are very high quality and can easily last for years and miles…

Direct replacement, worked perfectly, recommend to friends

126.00 for 2007 Chevy Trailblazer 4.2L The fan "roared" and would not come loose at high speeds. Much is written on the net about how to replace yourself. Before buying I would advise you to check the fan relay which is located in the fuse box under the hood and costs no more than $30. I have changeover relays. Replaced this fan and still had the problem, found the faulty relay and replaced it, then the fan worked fine. I may not have had to change the fan, just the relay, but at 126,000 miles…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Best buy as a replacement

Bought for my outrider in the market which my mechanic installed for $350. It was every 4 days and less than 100 miles before we noticed a strange vibration in the engine area. When the hood was opened with the engine running, I saw the fan hover between 1/2 and 3/4 inches. The fan and water pump were new AC Delco parts with an aftermarket cover. I took it back to the mechanic, he said the clutch fan was junk and I had to use the AC Delco for the first time. After another $150 and an AC Delco…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Only available in black

Fan clutch works regularly!

Eh Investigado much on the Internet and visto…

Trips and ticks about these fan clutches.

So my Brides 04 Envoy 6 cyl. Fan problems start at 120,000 miles. Apparently they all arise at some point and time. Unlike most conventional fan clutches, the Envoy clutch is computer controlled yet mechanically actuated by a pulley bolted to the water pump. As an auto mechanic by trade, I usually prefer to ditch the big MPG mechanical fans that dent them and put in a good electric fan instead, but since they are controlled by the watchful eye of the on-board computer, I decided to replace them
