Fits perfectly. suitable for spares

This was an emergency repair for a neighbor who needed to get her car running quickly. I ordered the part at 2pm and had it in my hands the next day. It helped that it was in a Revain warehouse in my home state, but great customer service nonetheless. The AC Delco part was perfect in form, form and function. gasket included. The exchange took less than an hour. Highly recommended. And with a two year warranty I expect it will last over 5 years at nearby 3800 V6 Park Avenue.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

This pump had no problems, it was stronger than the one I removed, the fins were thicker and the shaft was larger in diameter. The installation was perfect and there were no problems with the pump but the area I had to install on this shelf was tight and tricky, took me a lot longer than the book says but I saved a ton of money myself. I would, like others, suggest ordering a Fel-Pro gasket so you can be sure there are no leaks. I wouldn't want to shoot for a cheap seal again.

no problem after 10 months

Replaced a leaking water pump on my Grand Prix a week ago and it's been working great ever since. The pump itself started fine the first time, even with the cheap gasket that came with the kit there was no leak. I know many others say you need to buy a different gasket, but if you're careful (and maybe cheat a little like I did by applying a very thin layer of silicone gasket to the pump and motor), you will you do it when you install it you play. I have no problems. Can't comment on the…

WORKS LIKE A CHAMPION FOR LESS $

Installed on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Fits and works as intended. I've had this installed for about 14 months and about 15,000 miles with no problems. There is a difference between the ACDelco Pro, Advantage and OE lines. This is a mid-range pro. OE is the closest (if not exact) OEM quality for GM vehicles. My car is from 2004, so I don't have to pay that much for the original version. Just never skimp on the cheapest product of this or any other brand. BONUS INFO: Like others here and…

Perfect fit and reliability

Not easy to install without proper tools. Added new belt. Filled with new antifreeze. To my 1997 Buick Park Avenue. Extremely difficult to access tools to access the engine from the side. This element pumps your antifreeze through your engine, so it's time to change your antifreeze if you want to. The belt must be removed, if necessary, you can put on a new one. And with the belt off you can use a laser beam to ensure all your pulleys are aligned to ensure your belt doesn't wear out more than…

This really is the best water pump you can buy for 3800

This really is the best water pump you can buy for 3800 engines It has larger fins than the OEM water pump. I used the Mini Scaper blue polycarbonate scrapers to remove the old gasket and it did a very good job (no scratches on the engine block). The blades worked best when wetted with coolant. I used a Fel-Pro 35351 seal in place of the one that came with this water pump and lubricated both sides of the new seal with petroleum jelly before installing. I cleaned the original bolts with a wire…

Great water pump

Great water pump. It didn't fit in my head why a cast iron impeller is better than a steel impeller. But the wheel in this one is actually cast iron and much larger than the stock wheel I removed from my 2000 Chevy Impala. This seems to be of very high quality. Like others, I bought a blue Fel-Pro 35351 gasket and used non-hardening Permatex sealant on both the gasket and the studs since at least two of them go into the water jackets. It's amazingly simple, just watch a few YouTube videos and…
