Watch out for resistance!

The boots slipped down the cable before the contact snapped onto the spark plugs. This required much more effort and time to install on the FWD V6 which does not easily access the rear bank of cylinders. I was able to fix them by screwing the hammer into the contact just enough to pull it back into place. I've never had anything like this, not even on the same car.

SAVE YOUR EXPENSIVE COILS!

In my previous career as an auto mechanic, I learned that high resistance plug wires or open circuits will kill ignition coils. After installing it I noticed that my engine starts faster, my idling and my acceleration are smoother. These are Delco AC cords but they are a bit longer and you will need to adjust them in the cord holders if you want the installation to fit and complete. are identical. This is the first set of AC Delco replacement plug wires that I have installed. I usually use Borg

Ok but needs tuning

The cables work fine after installation but I had trouble connecting. The caps on the ends that go over the spark plugs slide over the wire, resulting in no "click" sound when you attach the wires. I had to spend 40 minutes carefully fitting the boots. I sprayed silicone grease along the wires, pryed the boot back with a screwdriver, then pushed the boot up far enough to fully expose the end of the wire. I then used the old spark plug to adjust the ends of the wires to ensure a snug fit (pass…
