Ideal for: switches and relays

Works perfectly. My old key and cylinder were locked in the on position. I watched a YouTube video on replacement, ordered the part, and then followed the video's instructions. It worked great!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Not sure

High quality, better than aftermarket

After going through 2 GM secondary ignition cylinders, both of which were not working properly, I broke down and bought an AcDelco. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality when I received it in the mail. Works perfect! I will never use another aftermarket product like this again. I really don't want my daughter's jeep to be stolen!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

OEM cylinder and key match perfectly

I replaced the ignition key in my Chevy Astro van. It fit perfectly. The quality seems to be good. It'll be smooth and pretty much plug-and-play switching. Comes with two keys and no instructions. Very easy to install once you find the set screw that holds the lock cylinder in place. Overall I am very satisfied with this product. Recommended to everyone.

  • Pleased

Like new! - Switches and Relays

I just bought this truck and the ignition key was bent and the little twist tabs on the ignition were broken off and reinserting the key is a nightmare. so this is the best way. Despite being my own mechanic I was a little scared of breaking the steering column. However, with the right tools, it was quick and easy. and swapping the ignition was stupid easy. This new ignition is so smooth and works great! I love it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Took a long time to assemble but assembly was easy

The switch worked as expected. It wasn't easy to get there, but thank god they have an Autozone tool rental! Our '93 Chevy Silverado required not only a steering wheel puller, but also a spring compression tool to get to the timing screw. It also helps to remove the steering wheel with a 1/2" kick. I tried using a brake rod, but that put too much pressure on the steering's tilt mechanism. In addition to loaner tools, it's helpful to have a 1/2-inch punch with a 13/16 socket, a long-shank T15…

  • New

OEM is the best! Best in Switches and Relays

While other aftermarket lock cylinders are cheaper, they all come with universal keys with "For GM Vehicles" written on the key. This OEM lock cylinder (ACDelco is after all a General Motors aftermarket supplier) comes with keys that just say 'GM' on them and are identical in appearance to the original keys that came with my 1986 GMC s15 Jimmy . The fit and finish of this lock is perfect and it brought back the "Your key is still in the ignition" signaling feature, a feature that disappeared…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Secret

Money well spent on parts

A month ago, a 30-year-old truck had an ignition shake. The truck started normally, but the key did not fully return to the "Run" position after starting the engine, resulting in the shift lever not being able to move out of the "Park" position unless I pressed the key cylinder and then manually turned the key back. a little. This started happening more and more often until one day (thank goodness that happened at my house) the key got stuck in the 'work' position and I had to pull the fuel…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine
