Perfect Fit for 2018 Duramax. Very easy to install. Watch the YouTube video if you're not sure. Lasts 5 minutes. Shops want to take 90-150 dollars. All you need is a 1" 7/16 socket, a bucket to catch fuel, and some cardboard to attach. It's not a lot of fuel, but it's oily, so it will stain.

Fits my 18 L5P Silverado. Best price I could find for an OEM filter. Arrived in a very nice box in a bubble envelope BUT it was not damaged. The Amazon driver even put it in a plastic bag when it was raining outside, although it was left under a canopy.

Works great. Easy installation on DuraMax 2017. All o-rings are included (2). The original filter had 17,300 miles before the DIC indicated 0% filter life. Prime the fuel system with two button ON/OFF cycles for 20-30 seconds; Listen to the pump to change the noise level that shows fuel consumption. The first reboot takes longer than usual.

This filter is cheaper than the GM dealer. NAPA and other auto parts stores do not sell OEM filters yet. The L5P fuel filter is very difficult and inconvenient to change. The GM dealer here charges about $110 for parts and labor when changing the filter so you can save money on the job.

This is my first fuel filter of this type, so no comparison. This product has met all of my expectations. It fitted the canister well and the o-rings were properly packaged and of decent quality (although I'm a little unsure about the GM design. I'm wondering if replacing this part of the fuel system isn't a good idea? Anyone? Everyone ?)

This is a quality filter, This is my third filter. The dealer says the fuel filter needs to be changed every other oil change. Dealer first changed, job and filter, $150! For $20 and maybe 20 minutes of my time, I change the fuel filter myself. There are many videos on YouTube on how to change the filter. Consider purchasing an aftermarket filter housing for easier filter changes.

Changing the fuel filter on older HD Silverado diesel trucks was a challenge and worth the professional R&R. 2018+ is another story that you can find out on YouTube or by simply looking under the truck at the fuel tank to look for the location of the filter. If you hate getting your hands dirty, pay the dealer $145. Otherwise, buy this filter and a large socket and save yourself a lot of money and waiting time at the dealer.

The dealer offered $110 to replace the fuel filter, so I declined. This filter is perfect, took about 10 minutes to install including gathering the right tools and then cleaning it up.
