ACR39U-N1 Pocketmate II: The Ultimate Portable Smart Card Reader Review

I ordered two of these but never received the first one I ordered. The one I actually got works great and is very thin and portable. The only reason I'm giving this a lower rating is because I'm missing one.

I would say that the biggest asset of any ACS product is the documentation that is made available to developers working on a smart card project. However, this particular reader seems to eat pads on cards faster than the HID OMNIKEY 3121 I use for my desktop computer. That being said, I recommend this to anyone who plans on using it no more than 1-2 times a day. If you think you need more, donate the small form factor of this reader and get the desktop ACR39U or HID OMNIKEY 3121.
