Easy repair on heater door arms

Warm (hot) air was flowing from one side of my car and cold air was flowing from the other side. I installed this and my problem was fixed. Pretty inexpensive tool. It would have cost me over $400 to diagnose and repair. Try it for the price. And even if it doesn't solve your problem, you won't miss much.

Cons
  • Very expensive

Good experience: Spare parts

Bought 4 pieces, 1 in reserve as a spare part. 3 installed on a 2011 Acadia has held up great for 4 months now. No signs of wear or loss of performance. Just a nice and quiet AC/heat unit that works as it should. GM owners are aware of these problematic drives. These look solid. Will be updated if problems arise.

Cons
  • No machine

2010 GMC Acadia just what I needed

The part is just what I needed, I don't have cold air on the pressure side of my GMC. That works great. Due to the way GMC made the SUV it was so difficult to remove the bolts to put the product in place. To pull it out you need a special tool, GMC Acadia. But it really works. If necessary again. I need 3 hours to loosen the screw. Easy to stick.

Cons
  • Slightly torn

Read below - additional material required - but this part works great

Not very easy to install, very tight. You will also need to purchase a 90 degree narrow-head T20 screwdriver. The part fitted my 2011 Buick Enclave cxl perfectly. Only hot air on the passenger side when I installed the new actuator it worked right away when I started the car. Patience is key - good luck

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Great price. The air conditioning repair on my 2011 Acadia cost me $20.99 and 30 minutes of labor instead of the $800 the dealer charged me. There are literally 3 screws and a connector that you can't install the wrong way round. It might seem intimidating and sometimes screws can be frustrating, but you can make these repairs. Anyone who tries to charge you more than $100 will rip you off.

Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great for the price

The passenger side heater/air actuator has failed on my 2010 Chevy Traverse. This solved the problem at a great cost. Installation was difficult due to its location (under the dash, behind the glove box blocked by the car frame), but that's Chevy's fault. It's worth playing around a bit to save a ton of money by not going to a mechanic to replace the unit. All in all it took about 90 minutes to take the old one out and put the new one in. I would suggest watching some YouTube videos to…

Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Fixed no heater for passenger on wife traverse

My wife's car did not heat the passenger side - rear and driver's side were fine. Youtube videos on this (especially the "Lake Superior Downrigger" video showed this drive was the solution and how to install it. I also ordered some open end wrenches and fingertip screwdrivers and T20 bits to help with the installation. Screws are hard to come by so It made a big difference. It took about 20-30 minutes to install due to the limited space and I didn't feel warm until I drove the car but it…

YOU FEEL LIKE A BALLER IF.

Just like I started with my title, you'll feel like a pro when you repair your air conditioner yourself and save literally hundreds of dollars. I cursed out loud a few times during the installation, but once I was done I was able to enjoy the fruits of my labor. One thing I recommend is getting yourself a flexible drill extension. Unfortunately, the three screws holding the drive in place are torque screws, and to top it off, my 2011 Acadia's drive is in a hard-to-reach spot under the dash. By…
