Bought this second charger for my Dell laptop. Works perfectly. By having the original charger in one room and a spare charger in another, I can use my laptop's portability and keep it running without worrying about battery drain.

I bought a second power cord for my Dell 15-5000 laptop to have on hand. I've used this provider before and had good experiences, so I went back to them. Ordered on March 12th and shipped on March 14th. Interestingly, my laptop can tell that this new one isn't a Dell product (double the price). But all performance characteristics are the same.

My wife's Dell Inspiron 15 5000 laptop got to the point where she had to wiggle the cable to charge it and most of the time she did charged. stop loading. Eventually it stopped loading altogether. The included charging cable had a kink at the end of the plug. I thought the cable was broken. We decided to try this charger before doing anything else, got it in the mail, plugged it in and it started charging right away. $18.00 was a good price and it works great. No problem.

When I first connected the device to my Inspiron 15 5000 series it seemed to work fine. I checked the output voltage and it was correct. Looking closely at the battery icon, I found that it was powering the device but not charging the battery. I rebooted and got a warning message saying the charger is substandard and may not be charging the battery. I deliberately discharged the battery and plugged it back in. No charging. If you just need power it works, otherwise no charging. I sent the block

I bought two of these and will most likely buy more. I repair laptops and need a good source for power supplies. They seem to work well and offer enough power for larger laptops. I gave them 3 stars for reliability. They only appear to be made for light to medium duty, transformer box with thinner, smaller cable than the factory original. I don't have a power indicator either. This is a very good replacement for power adapters. Edited on May 11th. I bought them on April 8th. Both are now FAILED

I bought this because it said it would work with an Inspiron 17 5000 series but my laptop doesn't even recognize it's plugged in. It disconnected when connected. My laptop is usually always on my desk and I rarely take it with me. But on one of the few occasions when I decided to work in a different room, I tripped while carrying my laptop and fell through a door, damaging the adapter that came with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1500 series). . I ordered this adapter in June 2019 as a replacement. It worked fine initially, except it didn't connect to my laptop as tightly as the Dell adapter. Also it was found and did the job.
