Handy Tools in Computers & Accessories

I have a few of these with the intention of making copies of SSDs. It works with both MVMe and NGFF SSDs, so it's a handy tool.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance

Great product for computers and accessories

Wonderful product. I work as an IT specialist in a hospital and due to the current pandemic the workload is insane. This little device has already saved me valuable time twice in less than 4 days, I was able to restart the medical computer without reinstalling the operating system since I couldn't even access the safe boot mode from the command prompt command.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad

It works as advertised

I bought this to clone my 128GB m.2 to a new 500GB m.2. It worked. The adapter seems to be well made. He's not skinny or anything. Just don't go crazy trying to bend it. All I did was attach my new m.2 to the adapter with the included screw and plug it into my USB port. My computer read the new m.2 and I was able to clone it. So it works as advertised. I give two thumbs up for that.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Stupid Hardware

Works temporarily! on computer accessories and peripherals

Works as it should but may not work for very long! Worked a few times then stopped working. None of the hard drives connected to the device can be read. When I connect an external SSD to one of the USB ports, a window pops up saying "Location not available, F:/ not available, invalid function". Although the drive is fine. I know the drive was good because I connected it to my computer and it worked fine. Another piece of Chinese junk!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Will be added later

Worked like a charm

Purchased to clone my old Liteon 500GB SATA m.2 to my new PNY 1TB NVME m.2. I put in a new drive, cloned my C: drive to it, swapped drives and booted for the first time. I couldn't find other adapters that work with M-Key and B+M Key m.2, so I'm satisfied. found this one. Speeds uses USB 3.0 with 4 year old SATA. Still about 3 or 4 times faster than other flash drives I've tested. Let's see how it performs over time as a file repository for the Raspberry PI project.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Minor

Easily readable by my Dell Latitude 3500 SSD

I had to remove some confidential folders from my laptop to send it in for repair. Since it wouldn't turn on, I couldn't use the laptop for it. I've found that there are other things that can match, not just card slots. My SSD is a single slot M.2 Key NVMe (PCI-e) SSD. My SSD is too short to use the included retaining screw so I used a rubber band. My W10 computer found it when I plugged it into a USB 3.1 port and I saw all the files and folders. There is no need to initialize other USB storage

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great device - in hard drive cases

No problem with device detection (Windows 10). Bought with the intention of only solving problems or situations like cloning, data recovery, etc. with M.2 drives. So far this has worked great. It warms up, not much, but noticeably. Can't speak to durability or reliability as I've only used it twice and it's only intended to be used when I need to troubleshoot/access an M.2 drive. I didn't spend time measuring throughput, but that didn't bother me since the main issue was accessing the M.2…

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulties
