The connector is not hardened enough, although the housing looks solid

This was causing me serious problems. The case can absorb shock, but the plug itself cannot. It broke and now I can't recover my data. I need to figure out how to connect. From the outside it makes a solid impression, but the weak point is the connector. I think this should be revised.

The hard drive is great, the problem is only in the connector.

You will find that many people complain that the cable connector is loose, broken and broken. I am an engineer and solved this problem by reinforcing the connection area with epoxy and now there is no problem. The hard drive is great, only the connector is the problem and that can be fixed by sealing it with epoxy so it's more firmly attached to the hard drive. Now there is no problem

Pros

  • General Information

Revain Top Choice? I bought two of these and both have the same problem. Other reviewers have also raised the same issue. It keeps losing connection and then Windows sees that the drives have a problem and needs to be checked for errors and corrected. I saw one reviewer say they solved the problem by sealing the connector on the drive with epoxy. I'm not sure if you should buy a disc that you have to fill with epoxy. I can say it's a lemon because everyone seems to have the same problem. So…

Rugged, compact and fast

I needed backup storage for my video and data folders and after much research I bought 2 of these 2TB drives and I'm perfect happy with it. She. An SSD was my initial choice, but I re-examined regular HDDs as the price difference was huge. What got me thinking was the reliability and small size of the ADATA drive. They're shockproof and waterproof, which is important, have a compact size (though slightly larger than an SSD of the same capacity) and a non-slip rubber sleeve. I just liked what I…

I found this external very useful. I am by no means soft on mine.

I find this optic very practical. I'm not at all careful with my electronics and I'm very clumsy by nature, which leads to sloppiness with such devices. So durability is the quality I think is most important and this product lives up to my standards (which I think says a lot as meeting my standards is often impossible - I want to be able to put electronics out of service). against a brick wall and I know they're safe.) I'm a scientist and I need to back up my data regularly, and the hard drive…

Pros
  • Waterproof IP68, tested for 60 minutes at a depth of 2 meters
Cons

This drive is excellent (review includes speed tips). If the USB connection to the drive was an issue, it isn't anymore. The metal plug is very wide and closes securely. I've never seen such a wide device connector for a USB cable. I have not tested any of the water/dust/shock protection features. I got it for a 3 speed USB connection and an enlargement of my WD 250G external hard drive. The transfer rate is fast, but I found it varied greatly depending on the data. If you mainly transfer…
