The loops holding the laces broke fairly quickly. I'm a city cop, so I'm on my feet a lot. I had inserts which made them quite comfortable but they wore out very quickly and again the loops holding the laces broke. For the money I paid they were really disappointing and just didn't last. I need boots to last more than four months (and then I swap them out with my older Bates).

practical. The 5.11 boots have gotten very cheap in recent years and while I like the Danner boots they are very heavy for the summer months. I was very surprised how well these boots fit and wear. There's a brief hiatus in time, but I'm buying my third pair online. I really like these boots, they wear very well and are very comfortable when paired with the right socks.

These are very good quality tactical boots. Didn't even know Adidas made shoes like this. They are weatherproof, lightweight, reminiscent of tennis shoes and also look good with black BDU trousers. I like these boots. The best thing about them is their support. The ankle support is perfect. Once you put them on, they become part of your foot and your foot gets stronger. The outsole and arch support are amazing. I wear them for 12 hours on the weekend and my feet feel great. I usually wear men's shoes in size 9 so I would go for size 8.5. I ordered 9 pieces to be on the safe side and they were still too tight. They returned the money quickly and my 9.5 arrived. These things look like running shoes. It's a shame they aren't that expensive because I bought another pair to use one in my shop and the other for everyday use. They are warm and too warm with the wrong pair of socks lol. They cling to the ground like a bear hug, yet are tactile and classy enough to leap over walls and just run without the weight of bricks on their feet. Best boot I've ever bought, twice. And it was twice as much when it came out, so I'm happy. They will last a couple of years with daily wear and intense walking. They run small, so go a full size and enjoy no break-in periods in a boot that feels like a running shoe. Ideal for permanent shift work.
