Bike Wall Mount

Inserted extension screws did not work. The instructions were vague and lacked instructions. Had to go to Lowes for better mounting bolts. I recommend making an installation video.

Pleasantly surprised

I took a chance without seeing any reviews about it. My anemic Rubbermaid bike hooks broke after a few years. This one is better and cheaper. Comes with wall mounting hardware but I attached mine to the joists in the barn. It's too wide for a single 2x4 so I had to add an extra piece to the existing 2x4 to make it wide enough. You will need strong screws to attach them to the beam. It turned out to be a decent investment at $16.

Difficult to mount on drywall

The product description does not state that this wall mount is not designed to be screwed into studs found in many American homes. To install it in a drywall clad wall you will need to make a base plate (wood etc.) wide enough to install a wall mount (you will need to purchase 4 suitable screws) to screw the mount to the base plate ( after screwing on the base plate first to the bolt) . When the lugs are exposed, the previous reviewer describes what they did.
