Works great in Klipper

I have these to measure resonances on my 3D printer with Klipper. The hardware worked great and once I got used to the software I was able to get great results and improve print quality. See charts from test results.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • No car

3 out of 3 don't work

Bought them a while ago but haven't used them yet. When I tried to use them none were found. I tried Arduino Board, Attiny85 and Raspberry Pi. Those boards didn't work with any of them. They were all boxed up until I started using them.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Expensive

works super well for computers and accessories

they worked fine. Some of these module types are not read correctly on all axes. All three worked well for me with about 1.0G static load on each axis and 1G change in pitch. So if you're having trouble with this type of module, it might not be your code. Try a few others and see if the axle sticks.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Annoying

GY-291 ADXL345 3-Axis Digital Tilt Module for Arduino

This 3-axis module is great for adding to an Arduino 2.4G remote with NRF24L01+PA+LNA so now I'm using the remote just tilt the controller and no sticks to control the robot car. The good thing is that the pin headers come separately so I could customize the setup to my needs, or it could be soldered onto the pin headers for the pin/plug. Application for this type of use.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great little accelerometer

I bought these to measure resonance levels of vibrations in a 3D printer (a feature in the clipper firmware). Plugged them into Raspberry Pi and they worked fine. Essentially, the firmware vibrates the parts back and forth at different frequencies, and this accelerometer lets you determine which frequencies are moving the most (resonant frequencies). It can then compensate for this and remove the "ringing" caused by the resonance. The whole process worked well with these accelerometers. Great…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
