AFE reappears

I had my doubts, but I trusted the AFE name. And delivered. 20 minute install, a definite improvement from HP&TQ over my 2011 Ram 1500. Maybe it doesn't help stock, but with the AFE CAI filter, Catbak FlowFX, clutch fan removal and DiabloTune it was a definite improvement across the board. As always, don't forget to reset RMB and go through the relearn process before fully opening up. VERY little whistling in a small RPM range, but not a problem.

Wow! I actually noticed a difference in RPM and horsepower

Decided to spend money on this just to see if it could up to the task. Very surprised at the difference there was on my BigHorn 5.7 with 18 RAM. Installation was a little tricky getting it in place. If you had a large plastic cover on top of the block it would make things a little easier. Ease of installation and value for money are a big plus in my opinion. Makes a nice whistling noise after you hit 4500 rpm with cold air intake and it definitely added torque, power and peaked my rpm. You need

Does it really work?

That's it. Without melody, you want the "full potential" of most small mods. In terms of notable changes I'd say a few (I have a KnN intake too), I feel a little bit better throttle response and make a cool whistling sound so that's cool lol the fit was a bit odd but still works. And when they say not to twist. they are serious! It's easier with a ratchet, but it's easier with a drill. I didn't have an engine check, that's a plus. For mpg I have to see. Overall I would say it was a good…

Nice mod but don't expect big changes

Added a Fe TB spacer after installing the K&N cold air intake. I haven't noticed much in the horsepower and torque department, but then again I don't test it and run it after every mod. Under load there's a faint whoosh around 2500 rpm at certain times, but if you're driving with the radio on you won't hear it. The only thing I noticed is that I got a few extra pulses (0.4 or so) in the MPG which, if you do the math, will help over time. It can always be related to driving differently etc. but…

2014 Ram 1500 5.7 Install. VERY SATISFIED!

Very happy with this purchase. There's so much hype on TBS, both positive and negative, that it's hard to know what to expect. The instructions are quite simple, as is the installation process. Below are my notes on what I noticed, as well as how the unit was installed (see images): *No setup required, just add screws. * When installing gasket, AIR-IN side or serrated lugs. should be pointing up - the end of the filament is pointing down.* The whistling only occurs under heavy acceleration.* I…

2011 Aries 1500 Hemi. Nice though.

This item was well packaged and comes with all parts. The installation is not difficult even for a beginner like me. I installed the item by reading the instructions and watching a few videos. Simple enough, no rocket science. I even listened to all the warnings about over tightening to avoid dislodging the plastic intake manifold (what idiot thought that up). I took the throttle body off, cleaned it thoroughly, cleaned the gasket and picked it up. Put the o-ring back on with some silicone…
