The best brake lubricant ever.

Been using his brakes for 35 years. I've used them all and this stuff is by far the best, doesn't dry out unless you have a pin or caliper stuck but if your pins and caliper work fine and you use this on all contact points your brakes never will hold longer. Make noise until the pads wear out and it's easy to replace, use the good stuff, don't deviate, you pay for what you get. My choice is Seal Glide. #1 forever!

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Works great, easy to use, saves money and does it yourself

I took the car to the dealer and was told it would cost almost $200 to re-grease the caliper pins and shoe retainers. That price is a bit crazy in my opinion just for the brake relubrication. So I decided to do it myself at the expense of lube. This brake lubricant can be processed very well and the application went smoothly. This 4-ounce tube lasts a while and can do a lot of braking work with it. Highly recommended

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Volume

Excellent value for money with quiet brakes

Warped vehicle and I replaced rotor and pads; However, I found the rotor and pads to be fine except that the caliper pin grease had dried out and the pin was not moving back and forth smoothly. (Actually, I had a hard time pulling it out). Since I already have the AC Delco rotor and pads, I replaced them anyway. I sincerely believed that the deformation was due to a tight and dry caliper pin. I applied this silicone brake grease to the pin and the brake is now smooth and quiet. Remember to…

Pros
  • Sil-Glyde brake lube recommended for entire braking system, compatible with plastic and rubber (EPDM and nitrile)
Cons
  • Paint not required

I am very happy with this purchase. A lubricant for everything!

This saves you the hassle of guessing which grease to use for the caliper pins and which for the brake pads and retaining clips. A lubricant for everyone. It worked great on my sunroof too. Opening and closing is smooth and noiseless. The only downside is that it doesn't come with one of those cute little application brushes. However, put on gloves and apply it with your hands. I also like that it's just translucent, like petroleum jelly. Some lubes are weird, they are weird and dark in color…

Pros
  • Silicone Based Brake Lubricant - 1.4 oz tube
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good replacement for Toyota Brake Lubricant OEM

jobs. I didn't want to pay a crazy price for Toyota Genuine Brake Lubricant so I read a lot of online forums to find a suitable replacement. It's one of the few replacement devices available that seems to be getting good reviews across the board. I use it to lubricate caliper pins, brake pads, etc. It seems to handle the heat of the brake pads/discs/calipers. Manufacturers would rather spend a fortune on their proprietary lubricants, but that works just as well. Do not use the small tube of…

Pros
  • Ensures quiet brake installation and easy removal
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other parts

Other brake lubes claim to be safe on plastic and rubber but will degrade non-metals over time. That's the safest. I will not use anything other than plastic or rubber, including piston boots and guides/caps/pen housings. I've used others that are labeled safe for rubber and plastic, but have encountered dangerous degradation of the socket that the stylus slides through. Then I saw numerous forum posts about various Mercedes and BMW models having horrible sticky plastic/rubber decomposition…

Pros
  • Eliminates disc brake squeaks, protects parts from corrosion and rust, and dampens vibration between contact points.
Cons
  • Not fashionable.
