Worked great for FM2

So I ordered this to restore my old setup which I had to take apart. Historically, the A10-6800k has been a pretty hot chip. The assembly was quite easy. You must use the AM3 grommets to mount the FM2, but the installation and overall assembly was pretty easy in my opinion. Once everything is assembled and the Arctic MX5 is up and running, the PC will idle at 30-32 degrees Celsius and play around 43 degrees. A difference of 10 degrees is quite decent. You can watch HD videos all day and it only

OK for the price. Poor assembly, poor workmanship

Nice cooler for the price. Probably not the best option for a PC novice. On my R5 5600X, temperatures hover around 78°C when gaming in a well-ventilated case. The temperature leveled off at 72 C at 100% fan speed. The Shadow Max only lasted about 2 minutes in the Prime95 torture test before experiencing thermal throttling. This test was performed with the R7 3700X on an open bench at 49°C in standby mode with the fan speed set to 100%. Speaking of the fan, it's quieter than I expected. In…

Fits Thermaltake Core V1 Case with ROG Strix

Finally my search is over. After ordering 4 different CPU coolers and an angry woman, I found the only cooler that fits the CPU (LGA 1200 socket on a Mini-ITX motherboard) without touching the RAM stick causing it to tip over (not Well). This cooler fits perfectly and comes close to beating a lamb stick! This allowed me to continue using dual ram sticks. And for Thermaltake Core V1 case, the maximum CPU cooler clearance is 140mm, this cooler is 141mm high but still cleans up well.

A bit noisy if you don't lower the processor temperature

Overall the cooler isn't bad. I got it for the lighting and it was my first build with lighting in my case. It has that cool (no pun intended) factor, but if you don't drop the CPU temp, you end up with a jet engine.
