I received this fan today and was unable to install it. There is a part called the yoke that needs to be attached to the mounting bracket with a screw. My ring doesn't even have a bolt hole. Considering this fan costs over $100, I think that's FUNNY. Revain is sending me a new fan and hopefully it has the correct mounting holes. This is a great fan for garage/shop. Yes, it's a bit noisy at high altitude, but what do you expect from an industrial-grade fan? I can feel the air still circulating around me about 25 feet away (at altitude). That's a good thing, because this summer it can get very hot and sticky in the south. Also read some vibration complaints. There are no problems here. It vibrates a bit at low revs, but you can't tell if it's installed properly (no rattling or anything). Mounting bracket requires three (3) 5/16" x 2" torque screws which are NOT included with fan. For some reason the twenty cent bolt was too expensive to include, so I had to drive HD (18 miles round trip) to buy them. Also, the pull cord extension that you attach to the 6 inch chain link on the back of the fan is a 2 foot piece of fine thread. Just throw it away and buy the best in HD when you buy bolts. Awesome fan! I spent a few days researching as I needed a fan in our screened in patio here at our Florida home. We have a small lead that would allow me to install this fan. Instead of ordering two small fans, I opted for a large one. It was so easy to install. I went to the local hardware store and bought heavy concrete anchor bolts for the plastered wall of the house. The screws came with a drill bit which made it even easier. Within 20 minutes the fan started to work. Releases a lot of air.

This is a heavy duty quality fan. I was hoping to get good airflow on my screened patio. There were no problems with the assembly, except that I had to buy 3 screws separately. What disappointed me the most was the airflow. On a hot Florida day, the fan will run at 3-10 second intervals if I can't get airflow in the direction I'm pointing the fan. The first sign that Air King cares about delivering a quality product is the heavy carton. Too many companies are increasingly using lightweight (increasingly cheaper to ship) fragile cardboard to ship goods that offer little to no protection.
