Used enough wood on day 1 to pay several times more for this tool

This tool works very well. I bought this to recycle an old cedar fence into wood panels. The nails had a round shank and were difficult to pull out without breaking the board - most boards broke with a pry bar. I decided to use this tool to drive nails through the board. This leaves a large hole through the nail head, but I was able to salvage almost 100% of the cedar boards. I have a client who wants a 200 square foot wall clad in salvaged, weathered wood, and nail holes are no problem with…

If you're struggling with nails in barn wood, just buy this item.

When I bought this I wasn't expecting too much. There are much more expensive options for the pneumatic punch, and (as with most other tools) the more expensive the better the quality. When I buy a cheaper instrument I almost always regret it and end up buying a high end instrument. That's why this tool is so amazing. It works exactly as described. I'm a carpenter and my clients have been making wood in the barn for the last three or four years. We tear down about 4 barns a year to use the wood

Pros
  • Nailer

The right tool for the job

The Air Locker AP700 does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it very well: It drives in scrap wood nails efficiently, quietly and precisely. Attempting to repair the floor, I was able to effortlessly remove about 800 2" planks an hour of 3/4" oak while leaving the wood in excellent condition - the task is impossible without this tool. Because it pays for itself after 20 square meters. feet, I am very happy with the purchase. This is the same body as Harbor Freight's #69719 18 AWG…

Pros
  • Nailing nails
