🧩 Airhead Quick Connect Tubing Rope Connector Review

This item is useful when you have several towed inflatable boats and want to quickly change the rope from one to another. On some snorkels this is part of the inflatable but my Airhead Blast snorkel is not included. The rope threads easily through the hard plastic quick release buckle and holds up well. I have no complaints yet.

The black and yellow cords are half the width of the groove. It can take a 4 person towline, but it needs to be routed neatly and evenly. That's a lot less than the XPS. Airhead has a more square shape with rounded edges. The XPS has good curvature and finish and more. It doesn't float, so don't throw it in the water. It works, but I was hoping for more than I got. Would I buy again? Only if I couldn't find a better fit and finish from another manufacturer.

My Waverunners only have a loop in the back to attach towed gear. Pulling the entire line through the loop takes time, and loosening the line requires some effort after the rope is taut after the hose has been pulled for a while. This solves the problem and is easy to leave in place all the time. The plastic part is a lot thicker than expected so it should last forever.

For a family spending the warm months on the water, all in one Boat doing water sports, This product saves lives. We use it and a tow line for snorkeling/water skiing and I can't tell you how easy it is to use. This has the advantage that tow lines can be quickly attached/detached to your device. Call me lazy, but I'd rather use this device as a last resort than waste time tying knots over and over again.

This airhead quick connector should work with an airhead tow cord, but it doesn't. The hole on the plastic side of the quick coupler is too small for an airhead towline and the carabiner won't fit either. Honestly I was watching how to use this thing on You Tube and the rope it attached to was about half the size of the rope Airhead sells. Why is this? Well, it goes without saying that it's utterly useless other than what goes with my airhead tow line.
