🌊 Stay Protected on the Water with Airhead Type II Keyhole Life Jacket in Various Colors Review

I don't like it, it's too expensive. I bought a set of four identical orange lifebuoys from a local store for less than that one lifebuoy! The seller called me and yelled at me when I left him a review!

I bought this simple PFD to avoid fines from our local law enforcement while using my SUP. It complies with local regulations and is relatively flat, making it easy to paddle when attached to the board. The price is also unbeatable!

What do you not like? They are very inexpensive, Coast Guard approved, comfortable and adjustable. We got used to it very quickly and don't even think about it when we get dressed. One day we turned around and found that they actually worked - my wife and I are both good swimmers, but these PFDs allowed us to relax and just swim back to shore at a leisurely pace, holding on to the gear that we didn't want to lose.

This is an excellent lifejacket. What I like best as a mother (besides the safety) is being able to see my baby in it from a great distance (in a kayak). I usually buy a newer ski jacket/vest but I'm so glad we got this one because it has exceptional visibility and the ability to turn a person onto their back if something happens. Plus, it's actually easier when paddling since it doesn't cut your arm.

Most important to me is the floating material inside. It's a closed-cell foam that shouldn't break down over time and start absorbing water. One size fits only a medium male - say a 40 bust blazer. If you are over or taller than 6ft, choose a larger block. Nice build, no frills. Durable hem and closure. Very bright orange. Haven't tried it in water but it should work as expected.

These are simple, basic life saving devices not designed for long term survival. So they are ok, they offer me USCG legality at a very low cost. I bought a few of these and added a few whistles. The markings on the fuses are clear and easy to understand and instructive if you haven't researched "personal rescue equipment". I would give 5 stars but I can't. This life jacket was purchased for short kayak trips. It's cheap, it's amazingly comfortable, it feels like it's made out of quality materials, AND IT'S ABSOLUTELY CHANGED MY LOVE LIFE!
