I received a 'new' package of these containers and it's quite obvious that they weren't new as they had dried food covered in a crust. You can tell these are returns that have just been repackaged and re-sold as new. Disgusting. Wouldn't recommend this company.

I'm giving this product four stars because the marker that comes with the chalkboard stickers doesn't work. The color of the marker is dark blue so it is not visible on the black sticker. I had to print out the labels and stick them on. It also takes forever to dry. I realized that I couldn't wash the containers as that would definitely ruin the stickers as they aren't waterproof. I like how well the lids close.

These things are great. They are made of durable plastic and close tightly. I use them for all my sugar, salt, coffee beans and everything else. The labels are well made and make sorting easier. Good deal for the price. I can't confirm the leak protection as I only use it for haberdashery. Can't speak to the tightness either as I've only just started using them so I'm not sure how they will hold up in the long run. I can say that they wash well, dry easily and fold well.
